How much have you spent on devices to date ?

About a hundred dollars so far, and I've only really been doing it for a week. A friend of mine bought a cheap e-cig starter kit a couple of years ago, didn't like it much, and gave it to me. I took it, tried it, but wasn't too impressed and hardly used it until a couple of weeks ago.

Then I got in a bad habit of forgetting to buy my Marlboro silvers during the day. I smoke almost exclusively while driving, or at night while I'm trying to write and need to take a break. When I ran out, I usually didn't feel like driving a couple of miles to the all night gas station, so I ended up trying the e-cigs again. I figured out some things and decided I like it.

I bought a Blu pack mostly because I thought I would need something that was sold anywhere to match the convenience of normal smokes, but it delivered almost no vapor and I'm selling them on Craigslist now. That was $34. Then yesterday, I said the hell with it and bought something that might actually satisfy for the long haul: eGo 510 starter kit with clearomizers and a couple of flavors of liquid from Atomic Vapors, which I saw recommended here. I'll probably end up using XL cartomizers later because I hate leakage and believe in the KISS philosophy, but I also believe in a nice, strong throat hit, so we'll see what comes up.

Cost of the kit and liquid was $61, so like I said, about $100. I spent that in less than a month on analogs, so the math works and that's the main reason I'm doing it. Good to be here, and thanks for the already-taken advice!

Too damn much

LOL My thoughts exactly... I'd say about $350 thus far this year which includes devices and smoke juice for me and my wife, not too bad..

Still not cheaper right now than rolling our own cigs.. Rolling our won cost us about $65 a month which got us about 8-9 cartons worth of smokes... It may have been cheaper right now, but vaping is better for our health, which means more to me than any amount of money...

And when you think about it, we could all pretty much suffice with a good starter kit and some good e-juice and be able to stay off the analogues.. but its the whole hobby aspect and personalization that really gets us spending money on different equipment. Its almost like we have all traded one addiction for another.. HMMM

Don't know if you knew but the Blue cigs cartomizers will work with the new battery you purchased. Blue carts ar efilled with Johnson Creek smoke Juice, which is one of he better smoke juices made in the USA on the market today. So, take the blue off of craigslist and save the carts, just ditch the batteries which suck.

I started experimenting with ecigs about four years ago with green Smoke, just didn't take. Then I tried the Vapor King products, have four of those batteries with about 20 to 25 packs of cartomizers. So I would guess that is in the $300 range. Couldn't quit analogs completely though until I went to my buddy's brick and mortar in Panama City, Florida and he hooked me up with an eGo-T kit with all the fixings.

I quit the next day and have spent around $400 outfitting myself with an eGo-t, eGo-C, Artemis tank and then the various associated hardwares. Have bought 20+ bottles of liquid in various sizes to see what I like, but the vapor King experiments kind of pushed me in the right direction there. Also spent some on purchasing some flavored extract from Lorann oils, which allows me to amp up the flavors of the juices. good investment there.

Since my #1 reason for quitting was $$$, I can't see me spending a ton on hardware until it needs to be replaced. The eGo systems are good for now, might add a vivinova tank or something dual coil since I don't like what I've seen from the wick-centric systems. I do like trying juices though.

So let's say $500 since some of that pre-cessation stuff doesn't count. :2cool:

It's been five weeks today since my last analog and I have no desire to go back. Pretty surprised really, but it's all about finding the right system.
