Lost count. By my estimates, maybe somewhere over $3000 in about 4 months since I started vaping?(whenever I registered. lol)
Mods aside, it's surprising how fast trying the new stuff out costs. Getting various samples of different wicks, from different sizes of silica, ecowool, SS rope, different meshes. Then there's all the different wires. These things don't seem like much, but they do add up, especially when you get enough to last.
Then there's the journey to finding your all-day vape. Samples and samples and samples... and when you find some good flavors, you end up getting over 100ml of the stuff since you can go through a 30ml bottle faster than it takes for them to get to you in the mail.
Add trying every kind of clearo, carto, dripper, genny. That adds up fast as well.
China made mods/RBAs are fun as well. Taking them apart, making them better. Adding a different bolt/screw here and there to up the quality. Slapping an o-ring here to make the throw easier. It's just plain old fun.
Annnnnd then... come the unicorns. When you're one of only 60 people out of 1000 F5-ers to get on a list to get a mod you'd treasure forever, you don't think about the price-tag. You gladly pay the amount and know that anyone would love to be in your shoes. In fact, others would pay 10x the amount you're paying, so throwing down that much money is actually a bargain. You've caught a unicorn. Bam! You're set, right? Nooooooo... there are more out there, so get your paypal and popmoney accounts ready cause you're in for a wild ride.
Lol. But yeah. Spent quite a bit of money. Not regretting it either. If you have the money to afford a new hobby, e-cigs is a great one. There are varying levels of what you can afford and the community is awesome. I've slowed down on spending a bit, but that's only because I've found a few all-day vapes. I'm spending more on the higher end gear, so it's like... I spend money less often, but I spend huge amounts in small controlled bursts. HAHA
