TBH...I have no idea if you factor in everything (been off analogs since Mar 2010).... however this is what I have record of:
$65 first Joye 510 kit
$35 2 extra batteries
$25 Joye 510 PCC
$60 first ego setup
$25 ego XL battery
$25 ego pass through battery
$18 2nd PT battery
$90 Lavatube kit (gettin' serious)
$26 Mom and Pop Vapor Shop sub and mini-sub tanks
$27 Liquidator tank
$80 Lavatube Version 2 kit
$18 IGO-S
$30 AGA-T2
$18 IGO-L
$38 Kamry K100 Mech
$50 1x 18650 & 2x 18350 Efest batteries and charger

Sub Total of $630

And countless amounts on atomizers, cartomizers, clearomizers, drip tips, juice, stuff to make juice, wick, wire, etc....but we can quick and dirty average...say pack of cartos and 30ml/month ~ $23 x 40 months = $920

So about $1550 give or take a hundred or so....not bad compared to $6k @ $5/pk over the same time span.....especially now that I make DIY juice and build my own wick and coils for a fraction of the cost, gets even cheaper ;)

In one month, I've already spent around $400 just in mid sized starter kits and juice. I'm looking at getting a VW model and a few attys for dripping soon. Probably the evic or the itaste svd as my local b&m shop carries them.

I didn't buy that many for myself mind you. I keep 2-3 spares in my car and home because I don't allow smoking in them anymore. It's not really "fair" to my smoking friends so whenever a friend wants to smoke in my car or home, I hand them a vape and let them pick out a juice of their liking instead. If they like it, I tell them "For the low low price of throwing those analogs in my trash, I'll let you keep the pv and a 30ml bottle of whatever flavor you want." I've had six or seven take me up on it and they don't regret it yet. Their lucky though, I did all the research for them so they don't go through any bad juices. lol

Tatsel_Morte, that is awesome. What a wonderful way to spend your money.

Thanks. I've just become quite taken with vaping and the vaping community. All in all, vapers are some of the most helpful people I've ever come across in regards to a "hobby" or I suppose activity is a better word, though I'm making a DIY hobby of it quickly. I make it my mission to try and "convert" someone every day. Anyone who asks about my pv, and even the occasional stranger I see smoking, is subject to "Here try this out, or would you like one of these flavors?" *opens shady trench coat like a back alley dealer* lol
(I really do carry like 3-4 flavors at all times.)

Besides, once they get started, I've got one more local vaper, which I LOVE as it's not too common here, and someone to trade devices and juices with. Not to mention, when you buy different stuff, you can keep your new vaping buddy from buying the same crap you did, and vice versa.

when is a good time to stop spending?

There's a time to stop spending money? Maybe when I'm broke...or the rent is due. lol
