So here's what I posted in this thread on 9/21/13, 2 months ago:

"New member here. Started July 1, 2013, and smoked my last analog the same day. Spent $300. initially and should be good to go to the end of the year with juice, bats, and carts. My analog bill here in Taxachusetts (although I would tend to buy them in NH, less taxes) would be ~$50 a week, so I'm figuring I'm already in the black. By year's end I hope to be looking at $1000. saved."

Well, two months later and that "$1000. saved" is a now just a memory. The purchases of - a Provari, Nemesis, Kayfun Lite +, RSST, batteries + spares, chargers, 300ml of juice steeping and 150 ml set to go in the tanks, wick, wire, multimeter, and assorted tools to make rebuilding easier, and I have easily surpassed what I would have spent on analogs in the same timeframe. And I'm always on the lookout for the next APV or RBA!

But, I have found a new hobby, frustrating at times but satisfying in the end, and a great forum where I spend countless hours reading and researching and posting when I feel I have something to say. All in all, its a good thing!!

I am just getting started but I can already tell that I am just getting started down the rabbit hole.

Started with a twist + Protank II, then got myself a Vamo V5. Decided that I liked the look of a SVD so got one of those too. Decided to try a Vivi Nova and a few days after that pulled the trigger on an RSST and spent a few days learning how to wrap coils. Now I have various wire/mesh/wick components coming to me from all over the globe and have been fighting the urge to preorder a Russian 91%. And I don't even want to talk about the mech mods I have been debating over.

I have only been vaping for two weeks and the worst part is that I wasn't a smoker to begin with. :)

I spent 126$ on a 69$ ego C starter kit because you know, extra battery, extra flavors of juice, extra clear.
I spent ~50$ the next week on EVODs, replacement heads and more flavors
Then I bought a PT2, more EVODs more flavors and a VV VW3 some smoktech cartos and a smoktech tank ($160)
Then I ordered the MVP2 for 40$
Then I ordered my son an MVP2 for 40$ but got a few 5 packs of heads with it. 55$
Then I ordered some Mt Baker Juice. 50$

So just shy of holy !@$%!@$, that's 481$

If I do not spend anymore money I have enough juice to last a few months. I will still have saved money, if I do not spend any more.

I am going to spend more.... I just know it.

This is all in November after having researched this silly stuff for 2 years. I have not smoked since day 4 of owning a vaping device.

U.K.
By my calculations, by the end of next week I will be out 950$ (+,- 20$), once everything is in, I'll do more accurate calculations.

Started with some Phantom HD starter kit (cartos and atomizers were long chucked) but the eGo type batteries are still being used by girlfriend.
Then got myself KTS+ as a first entry into mech mods (got kinda ripped off and generally was misinformed about what I was doing)
Got Nemesis Kalafan in the vapemail coming and ordering Kayfun Lite+ in next couple of days.
Mostly generic juices so far 50/50, until last week I got some Johnson Creek liquids and I was blown away, got Autumn Crisp (a lil harsh but still good) and Solstice (adore it and blown through it in like 2-3 days) will be ordering more of their line up for sure.

Over six months
Supplies for Blu: $230. Biggest starter kit - rest in cartos from Sam's club (a brick of 50 for $100 )
V2 cigs: $140 basic starter kit, two extra batteries, and cartos.
Ego twist: $22 charger $8?
The part here I can only estimate by attempting to locate half of my receipts
Various Cartos,Tanks,clearos,accessories: $300
I can't even start on the amount in juice I hated steeped or unsteeped.

End result of hundreds in research? *Cleaner lungs, an eGo C twist, a mini protank, 100 ft kanthal a1 28awg, enough sterile cotton for a year, an insatiable appetite to make Premium DIY tobacco extracts, and a happier woman.

Errrrr.....Devices i don't like please !. No.... Devices i do like !........Oh i don't know !. Do what you want !.:p

It was not doing what I want. You don't know what you like sometimes until you try them. If I took the total on devices that I actually use it is not that bad. If I take the total from the stuff that it turns out I didn't like it is at least 6 times the money spent.

I stopped counting after $1000 in the first month. Just didn't want to know after that. I've hit my saturation point now though as far as gear goes and got over the rebuildable hurdle. Only things I foresee buying now are juice, diy flavors and cotton balls - unless some new laser powered atty hits the market... o_0
