Oh my! I just added it all up. It's only been a couple weeks and I'm up to $300 (plus the $75 my brother dropped on me for a nice starter setup + liquid). But...I've got a great variety of liquids to keep me from getting bored (about 5 weeks worth, I estimate) and replacement coils to keep everything running well. If I can keep myself from spending until after the new year, I'll have broke even, cost wise vs. analogs.

Plus side--the MVP 2 is just cool enough to have intrigued my hubby (gently trying to convince him to give up the analogs as well) into trying a few puffs (yummy, fruity Betelgeuse from Nicoticket doesn't hurt either). Baby steps, baby...Told hubby the black MVP2 in the mail can be his, if and when he's ready...

I guess the main message we're getting from reading the posts in this thread is that most of us who've made vaping a hobby have ended up spending more per week, per month, per whatever, than we did when we were smoking. I know it's certainly true for me. Thing is though, since I began vaping (May of this year), I've collected a Vamo V2, a brass Sig 19, RSST, AGI, Nemesis clone, a real Nemesis, DRA XL, Storm Rider TiN, Svarog, Gamma V2.5, plus a ton of other odds and ends, to the tune of, well, I'm not sure I really want to know how much I've spent... but the thing is, I've still got it all right here in front of me, and I'm still using it. But the money I spent on cigs is totally gone, I've nothing whatsoever to show for 42 years of smoking except a 30 year old Zippo lighter. The rest is ashes. So I'm not really too upset about what I've spent so far... if I decide to quit vaping tomorrow I could probably get a lot of my money back because a good bit of this gear (especially the non-clone stuff) is worth nearly as much used as it is new. But in the meantime, I'm having a hell of a lot more fun vaping than I ever did smoking. So the money's well-spent as far as I'm concerned.
