How much is too much?

The question has been posted, but the answer is mercurial. Some have said your body will tell you. But when, and how? Others contend that there really isn't a possibility of too much. I have to believe that the answer lies somewhere between.

I go through at least 3 ml per day. If I'm stuck sitting and working, or veging on the couch, I can run through 2 ml in a couple of hours. 6mg nic. No clue how much ingested mg that translates to.

Is that too much? I feel fine, but my vision gets a little cloudy from time to time, likely due to the fog.

I challenge the forum to respond without using any variation of the phrase, "your body will tell you". I'd like to get that particular information before I become a med student's case study after I selectively ignored my body's demure hints.

Bonus question: how to I get a profile pic up. I clicked and searched around for as much time as I could withstand and, as is evident, the goal fell prey to my patience.

Insert witty/profound tag line here.

I don't want to be a smarty pants here so please don't take it that way. When I have had too much nic I get nausea and sometimes my heart starts to beat faster. Sometimes if I keep vaping anyway or used to be kept smoking anyway I may get a headache. It's not a well feeling for sure. We call it nic sick. You really will know if it happens to you. You will feel too nauseated to vape any more. Then it will go away after you stop for a bit. A lot of us were concerned about it when we started. To be honest though it happened to me more when I smoked my Marlboro lights then it has in the nearly 2 years I have been vaping. I know you don't want to hear that your body will tell you but I am afraid that may be the only answer there really is. Different people have different tolerances for how much nic they can handle. I do know that if I vape my brains out late at night I don't sleep as well but nicotine is a stimulant so that makes sense. I hope this helps and don't worry about it so much because you really will know.

Woops, I must have been wrong about that. This was my 1st forum as well as my 1st avatar LOL. I couldn't even find my own posts for a few days at 1st.:D If you see me driving in public you will know me because my husband will be in the passenger seat throwing his arms in the air and shaking his head. The short story is that I am an air head. Most people love me for it though:lol:

I used to wonder the same thing when I started to vape. I was very tentative about vaping too much. Then one night I had the house to myself and had a movie night, and on this occasion I just couldn't put my PV down, chain vaping away at a 24mg juice. They say your body tells you when to stop, and you want to know if it's true.

It really is. I got to this point where, after compulsively vaping all night, something switched in my head. I was completely wired, feeling really hot, heart pounding, a slight headache, quite nauseous and all desire to vape left me completely for hours. In fact, I knew if I vaped any more I would puke. It was not pleasant, and I never take it that far any more, and I decided to drop nic strength to 21mg at once.

As for ignoring the warning signs, I wouldn't worry. They are pretty hard to ignore, as you are covered in a film of sweat, clutching a vomit catcher. I'd say stop at an earlier stage, like when you get a slight headache.

Funny, I'm on 11mg now. I couldn't take 24mg now it's too strong.

Hi RobearII,

I started vaping about 3 weeks ago and, for the first couple of weeks, had to work out how much I could vape without feeling negative effects. When I overindulged I felt a bit dizzy, got a 'stuffed up' feeling in my sinuses or got the feeling of a headache coming on. At this point I stopped vaping for a little while and drank (even more) water; the effects soon wore off and I could go back to vaping. My body must have become adjusted to it, or I have gotten better at self-regulation because, in my third week I didn't get any of these symptoms. Hope that helps.
