This forum is the bomb! My question is how much vaping is too much? I started last Friday and love it, but I find myself wanting to vape more than I smoked. I smoked about 1 1/2 pack a day. Now I can sit and vape until I run the battery down. When that happens I smoke analogs until the battery is recharged. I have menthol high carts. I've ordered a 510 and hopefully it will be here tomorrow. I will then get some juice and see if that makes a difference. I don't care for the taste of analogs anymore but I can't seem to get enough vape to satisfy my cravings.

Hi and welcome to the forum! I am fairly new to vaping too and I also find that I tend to vape more than I smoked. Mostly because I can vape inside, & a lot of places where smoking wasn't allowed. What mg is the e-liquid your using? Maybe it's just not strong enough. Also if you just ordered the 510, & you keep running the battery until it's dead, then you may want to order some extra batteries and atty's to have around. Also order a PT(passthrough) if your near a computer, that way you can keep the e-cig plugged into the computer without draining your battery. It's a bit of a learning curve, I still have a lot to learn, but once you get the right device and strength e-liquid, you probably won't need to vape as much as you do now. And you will defenately know if it's too much, trust me I've done it and got a nic buzz that wouldn't quit for a 1/2hr! Or you'll get a headache if it's too much. Dont worry you will adjust once you figure out what works for you. And this forum is the best place to find great info and lots of help! Good Luck!

At the moment I'm using carts marked Menthol High..........not sure of the nic level. I have a crappy PV and can't wait until I get my 510, hopefully tomorrow. There are so many choices of juice it's hard to decide what to order. Hopefully after I get the 510 I can get into a groove and get off analogs all together. Thanks for the encouragement. Lord knows I need it :)

Stover, I believe the ones that come in the pre-filled carts marked high are 18mg. So try ordering some e-liquids in all different flavors and different strengths(like 18-36mg), to see what works best for you. Also I would recommend trying juice from a few different suppliers in smaller sizes, until you find what you like. Once you figure out what works for you it will be smoothe sailing!

Yep, agree with the above.

Sounds like your nic is low. You'll have to test different strengths to see what works.

Probably want to add a battery or 2 and maybe a passthrough to your next juice order so you are not waiting on the charger. 510 batteries are short on charge for many vapors.

There is a "new toy" effect that dies down after awhile. And too much nic has symptoms you'll feel before it gets dangerous.

Good luck on your journey!

I've been vaping for almost a year now. I start out vaping constantly and I am still vaping constantly. I vape 36 mg which is a little stronger than most. I smoked 3 packs a day for 40 years so I guess I needed a higher strength. Latery you may want to look into getting a mod. The batteries last most of the day and it gives a better TH and more vapor.

Too much vaping does seem to be typical, more of a passifier than a vape device at first. The more time passes without an analog and learning the easier its becomming for me to moderate.

A pass thru would help your battery situation out. For me that 510 mini battery just wasnt enough by itself for just the reasons you mentioned. a pass thru can fill in the charge gaps.
Bigger battery device doesnt suffer those issues, but trade off is size.

I did this as well, got worse when I got a pass through, which never dies.
I choose to put my e-cigs away in a holder (made from a hand sanitizer bottle...tip gotten here).
I take it out, time it for about 8 minutes or so, then put it away. It's something I need to do for myself, vaping was starting to occupy more time and attention than smoking ever did.
I keep a few attys with carts attached in a few flavors, decide which I want, use it for about the length of a cigarette, then put it away.
I also put the pass through away, using it only in the car or if my batts die. Since I have 5 batts, that's rare. I'd still recommend having a pass through, though. It's been a great benefit for me.

Can power all those ways (may need adapter(s). Most believe a wall adapter w/o an inline battery (bigger feed wire) is better than computer usb type pass thru which has whimpy cord and small inline battery to get current up to whats needed. These type have curcuit protection thats supposed to prevent usb damage, but still taking a chance on expensive computer should it fail.
