As many have said, Always try to support your local B&M first. Understand many of them are fly-by-night operations trying to fill a niche in a vastly growing market and only carry the cheapest most abundant items they can get their hands on. If they are worth their weight, they offer an area that is inviting, that is a place where you can get to know them, they offer discounts in ways like spending benefits, or offer quantity discounts. They should be willing to take time and explain to you their products, they should be able to offer you advice on more then just what they carry if they truly are in the vaping scene.

I speak from the background that there are literally 40+ B&M shops in my area to choose from. I literally have 3 shops within a block of each other that are within walking distance. 2 of those shops are going to be failures because they know nothing about their own products, let alone any of the other things that basic vaper's need in the start to make the switch. I being fairly new to the vaping world, have more knowledge about their products then they do.

Good reputable shops will be able to answer your questions, they will carry more then just one product, they will offer you advice without pressuring you into their products. They will have an inviting atmosphere where you can sit down and try juices and they won't try to rush you out of their door.

But understand that you will make purchases online because your local stores can not and won't ever be able to keep up with the fast growing trends in this industry. Your in charge there and if you believe in a product and you think it would help benefit the many people in your area, you can take that into your local B&M and see if they would be willing to expand. You never know the impact that can happen till you try. Many B&M start out with a limited budget because they started it out of the love of vaping and the benefits it offers and are willing to expand if there is a demand or you are able to show them the benefits of the product or products.

I prefer to buy local whenever I can. These are the folks that help pay the local taxes. These are also the folks educating the newbies and others who just walk in and are interested in the hobby and getting off of cigarettes. Otherwise those folks will have to get their knowledge of e-cigs from the media, not that the news has any bias against them! Yeah sure.. "I heard how some one blew his face off".."I heard they have anti-freeze in them"..."I heard that they are worse for you than cigs".."I heard that the smoke from them causes cancer worse than cigs"...
Of course if the local store wants to hose me then they are on their own!

I bought my EVOD starter set and a couple of vapes from my local vape store. Premium liquid there is $22 bucks for a 30ml bottle but can be purchased online for $16. They also charge $2 bucks for the replacement coils (not a bad price in itself) but I found replacements on ebay that ran $1.39 each when 25 were purchased. (Suicide Bunny's "Derailed" if you're wondering about the vape.)

When I asked about quantity discounts at the local store I was told "No discounts."

So yeah, I can be kind of cheap but I'm feeling just a little bit guilty about this. BTW, I know there are much cheaper vapes out there but I really really like the Derailed.:banana:It's described as something like cinnamon and banana flavoring in a cream base.

your b&m stores and ones inside of major shopping malls cater to the crowd of people that don't have credit cards or unaware of what a pre-paid VISA card is.. the prices for hardware at my local B&M are not to bad but the prices for juice are over the top $12 for 15 ml bottle. however they do sell Kanthal wire for next to nothing. so i stop buy once in a while and stock up.

I've only been to the one store so far. There are many folks that have suggested I go to the head shop they go to. I'm really hesitant to do that mainly because of the reputations fof head shops. It's been well over 23 years since visiting one of them. But there's plenty of shops around here to try. I'll have to check 'em out!

Maybe if I were to find a shop with a bunch of old guys operating the store and sitting around vaping I'd probably feel more comfortable. Even better, a biker vapor shop. Hmmmm!
