When you say "how much" I will assume it's the amount of unflavored nicotine liquid required for mixing purposes.

Let's do a 5mL batch to stand for the daily amount, using 100mg liquid:

30mg recipe strength divided by 100mg nic liquid = 0.3 (30%)
5mL x 0.3 = 1.5mL

1.5mL of 100mg nicotine liquid is needed per day.
Multiplied by 365, it amounts to 547.5mL.

500mL ought to be enough for a year since most people will taper off on nicotine over time.

I just figured that 500mL of 100mg unflavored nicotine juice will last me for 15 months, if I vape 6mL per day.

I used Breaktru's eJuice Me Up calculator (which is great, by the way) to make the calculations easy.
eJuice Me Up - e-Juice e-Liquid Recipe Calculator

Here are my calculations to make 2780mL (almost 3 quarts at 946mL per quart) of eliquid. The final result is in parenthesis.

500mL 100mg Unflavored Nicotine Liquid 100% PG (18mg)
1028mL PG (70%)
834mL VG (30%)
417mL Flavoring (PG) (15%)

Total cost is about $165. This includes $20 estimated shipping, Gourmet Vapor (with 40% discount thru 12/15 on nic liquid), TSC ($27 for a gallon of PG), Walmart ($3 for 6 oz of VG), and Perfumers Apprentice ($26 for 16oz of flavoring).

Total cost for 23 bottles of 120mL (or 2760mL total) at FSUSA (at $40 per 120mL) is $920, not including shipping.

Total net savings = $755 (rough estimate)

Per month savings = $50 (rough estimate)

Cost per mL = 5.94 cents (rough estimate)

The reason for posting was I've searched all over to find out how long nicotine liquid will last when stored in a dark, cool place, such as a closet.

Does anyone know?

Think I'm going to go with this sale myself. I was a little disappointed they didn't also sell the flavorings and supplies (kinda wanted a one stop DIY shop) but oh well.

Any suggestions on where to get the other stuff needed?

Not sure how well this will work, but got 100mg/ml and 4 juices in 0 nic and triple flavor since my tobaccos never come out very well.

From all the reading I have done, seems to be several years if pg less if vg. Glass bottle with no head space in freezer LONG time some loss if nic. Make sure to bubble wrap and bag in case of accident in freezer.

Ditto that. I had asked the same question a few weeks ago and that's what I had learned.

I would suggest 500ml of 100mg juice. Gourmet Vapor sells it & is having a 49% off sale: Gourmet Vapor Use the code - gv40 when you check out.

Oh my gosh is this a good deal!

With this liquid:

5tbs VG and 1 tbs 100mg juice would be @16.6 mg strength?

And 4 tbs VG and 1tbs 100mg juice would be @ 20mg strength?

And do you think it would be okay to use an empty brown Robitussin cough syrup bottle to mix my stock in? I have a blue plastic 60 ml one that I bought from MFS for making juice but that bottle wouldn't hold 6 tbs., itt only holds 4 tbs. But an empty cough syrup bottle would be awesome- it's 8 oz/ 200+ml it says. Or would the nicotine cause a problem with the brown plastic?
(There's no kids in my house and I'll keep label it well.)

Thnaks,
Lori
