vaping is not nearly as efficient as smoking in getting nicotine into your system. It's one of the reasons why people start out with 24mg+ nicotine strength eliquid. So yes, it is normal.

Another problem may be the model you are using. The smaller battery models do not simulate the warm feel of an analog like the better battery models do, such as 5 volt or variable volt. And you could just like it better.

Perfectly normal. I find I vape more often than I smoked, but I also take less drags each time I pick up my PV than I did every time I lit a cigarette, and they're far more leisurely with more time in between drags, as well, so whether it's actually that I'm vaping more or than I smoked or it's just more evenly spread out I can't really say. Occasionally I chain vape, but not all that often anymore ;-)

I seem to be vaping a little more than I'm comfortable with, something akin to an opium addict but I think this may subside after a bit
.

That's part of one of my posts from about a year ago. Your body will let you know when enough is enough. If you get dizzy or light headed you'll probably just slow down on your own.
There's a learning curve but it's well worth it :)

....Welcome to the forum :)

I am a new vaper, and I was wondering the same thing. I am vaping a lot, but like KillJoy1 said I too find I vape more often than I smoked, but I also take less drags each time I pick up my PV than I did every time I lit a cigarette. Or if I end up chain vaping, which I do sometimes, I just know when it's time to put them down. I did have to LOL at the comment by rwneilson though, because I have thought "omg I feel like a .... head!" ha ha. But then I think about it, and I'd much rather be vaping than smoking, hands down!

Hahaha yeah I just started vaping 2 weeks ago and feels like that is all I do now, mind you I smoked atleast 2 packs of analogs a day. I have two ego's on the go cus I find after a while I can't taste the flavour so then I vape on the other one......switching back and forth brings the flavour back lol. But I also find that sometimes I am just holding my ego in my hand or to my mouth and not even vaping just kind of plaing with it. Mind you I love the flavours too, if I put a flavour I don't like in it, then it tends to just sit wherever I put it. I started out with an 18mg...........then tried the 24mg and found it real harsh, so mixed my own .........some around 18mg and some with 0mg............the 0mg is for when I am on the computer and vape just cus I can but don't really need the nicotine.
But yes feels like I am vaping much more than I was smoking.........but I don't feel near as worn out or crummy sick feeling and my sense of smell and taste has improved greatly.

I admit to vaping pretty much all day long, but it's low nicotine (11-12 mg). When I switched from smoking ultra lights to vaping I didn't do what is recommended often on this forum, which is buying 24 mg and weaning down. I wanted to make sure I never got hooked on the high nic stuff, so I started vaping 11mg from the very beginning and it's worked quite well for me.

Vaping goes in spurts with me. While I do it every day, some days are heavier than others. Depends on my mood and the situation. Just a dozen drags every 20 minutes to an hour seems to be the average now. I do it mainly out of mechanical habit and I like the taste not because I absolutely NEEED to as with my 30 year cigarette addiction. Since I make all my own juice, I control the nic level precisely. Down to 6 to 8 mg these days so getting very little nic per vape. If I go several hours without a toke, its no big deal either. If my hands are busy doing something else, I don't even think about it. The Big difference is WANTING to vape as opposed to NEEDING to smoke.

I don't agree with the "I do it for the flavor" folks .. we do it for the nic .. you use the e-cig more because absorption is different with an e-cig / .. you get less nic and you do not have the other long list of chemicals as in an analog ..

I've gone from 24mg to around 8mg nic in the last six months .. I still get a mucous build up, even though I have tried different PG / VG formulations .. however, on my medical checkups, my lungs are clear ..

Your body will alert you when you are getting too much .. simple as that ..

There are some of us on the forum, myself included, that tend to not overplay the safety and health of e-cig use .. that does not mean they are not less harmful than analogs, smog, exhaust fumes, etc .. it just means that some of us are more skeptical than others ..

I have pretty much been vaping all day since I began about 8 days ago, and I am not vaping with nicotine juice. Like many others have stated, its not like chain smoking cigarettes where you are constantly dragging on the analog. My puffs are very spaced out, yet continual throughout the day until bedtime. Overall I feel that I vape more than I smoked because my ejuice "does not" contain nicotine, which leave me feeling poisoned if I have too much in my system.

While I am American, I presently live in Canada and the suppliers here typically do not carry e-juices that contain nicotine, which at first I was disappointed about, but am actually glad they do not ... My goal is to eventually be nicotine and stink free :D
