I've been looking for info on this and I can't find much. A small mention here and there but not a lot of info about how much and why people judge how much they use. So what percentage of your mix is distilled water and why that much?

I use as little PG as possible because it seems to bother my girlfriend and I like the difference in how my throat feels throughout the day. So my only PG is from flavorings and its usually around 10-15%. So I've been trying a balance that gives me a viscosity similar to my old 50/50 mixes. I've found 15%PG, 10%-5% distilled water and remainder filled with VG is what gets me to my preference.

I am vaping almost exclusively in a Kanger EMOW setup with dual coils. I play with my air and voltages and find differences between flavorings. My all day vape right now is a simple Root Beer flavoring.

I mix up my unflavored at 90% VG 10% DW. With flavored stuff, I use 10-13% water, whatever is in the flavorings (PG, VG, water) and the rest VG. I find that flavorings gunk my coils more than VG, so I make the flavored stuff a little bit thinner. I do not add any PG, unless it is in the flavorings. But I use flavorings sparingly anyway, and have yet to exceed 6% total.

anyone else have any info on this? I love clouds of vapor caramel cream which has no pg but is very thin. Would love to know how they make it they way they do.

Also are there any other additives to add to ejuice to help the flavor pop?

Danny and Hoosiers blogs are a good place to start for your questions:

For cloning a specific flavor of premade juice, if you do not get any help in this thread, you might want to start a thread with a title like, "Looking to clone flavor ABC juice by brand XYZ."

Pretty much what Boletus said. Make sure the water is distilled and find your sweet spot. If I'm dripping, I'll go as low as 5% distilled water. I like the flavor better and can taste the VG more (doing 100% VG). 10% is a good starting point.

Additives to help flavor pop? The first thing that comes to mind is saline. Google 'saline in ejuice' and read the threads. After that, it's really just about getting that perfect % of flavoring, perfect combo of flavors, and steeping. There are other additives as well, mentioned in the blogs posted by Boletus.

Less airflow generally results in more juice being pulled to the coil and better flavor.
