Ok educate me. What's a micro coil? That just a subohm coil? I'm guessing you like those Igo-L's? Lol. I have one but not exactly my favorite.

I'm not crazy about micro coils. I'd rather wrap 5 or 6 turns of 30ga Kanthal and end up at 1.5 to 1.8 on my Term C. I Have an Igo on the way, let you know how it goes.

This, my man, is a micro coil - like the name implies, micro in diameter 1/16" / 1.6mm / 16ga bore. It is built with many, tightly scrunched together wraps and produces similar and often much better results than, for lack of a better word "old school" coils of 1/2 the resistance. In other words, a 2 ohm micro will perform equal to or better than a 1 ohm old school. I run mine using sterile USP rolled cotton as a wicking medium. Kicks .... :)

That one was wrapped on an 18ga needle. I find that I prefer the 16ga though :)

Gotta say... I was off the forum for a while and this is exactly why I'm back on here. Had never heard of them til now. Wrapped one earlier just to try it. I'm a silica guy though and from some other posts I'm seeing micro coils and silica don't go together real well. But first one I've got 10 wraps on a 1mm silica wick and actually does produce more volume of vapor than my 'old school' ones. Can't say it improved th or flavor though. Interesting though. Will be playing around with this more. Ended up about 1.8ohms.
