Hi all. Question for you experienced types out there, and you younger but not necessarily experienced types :)

We are having a family function in a couple of weeks, and I know that my sister-in-law will want me to advise her daugher (22 yrs old) on the e-cig. She found out that I stopped smoking using it, and she wants her kid to stop as well.

Problem is, I'm 64 and don't really relate to a 22 yr old. I know she will be looking for the silver bullet, which doesn't exist as we well know. I started on the ego-T, had some teething problems but persevered because I knew that I had to stop smoking. I'm not sure that my niece will be wanting to "wait" to see the light.

What would you recommend that would give a young person a sense that vaping works..... sounds lame I know, but I don't want to come across as an old fart. I "think" that the automatic e-cig kits would probably be easiest, but never having used them I really don't know it they are reasonable and work that well?

Any thoughts

Perhaps you could approach her like this:

"Word up, holmes. These e-cigarillos be the shizzle. Straight up dawg, know what I'm sayin?" :2cool: :vapor:

aggo, plse translate :)

"Get yo vape on while sippin' Hennessey :vapor: wooorrrrrd"

OK OK sorry I'm just being silly. I agree with others suggestions about letting her have a drag with a spare clean mouthpiece. Maybe you could find out from your sister-in-law what kind of food/drink flavours the girl likes, then see if you have anything that might fit the bill, or order a sample if there's time?

Apparently "juice and gin" is the "in" thing!

Thanks. Probably making too much off it, being a concerned Uncle and all ;) Will try letting her just use a spare ego-T battery with a Kanger caromizer. I'll have a couple of loaded ones so she doesn't have to bother topping up the cartos.

Good battery, with a good carto for nice flavor, vapor with no fuss....you should be fine with that. If she likes the flavors at all it might just do the trick...:)

Also don't forget a lot of "young" newbies might be skeptical at first but don't take it to heart! Just keep trying. I'm in that age group and a lot of my friends who I've tried to get into vaping seem interested and then they stop caring and ggo to analogs for some reason or other. It never hurts to try again though :)
I tried to get a friend the other day, I gave him a drag of mine and he decided against getting an ecig because I had a fruity e-liquid. I've noticed it's always some small minor thing with people that get them discouraged from vaping.
I'll try again next week lol.

Just my two cents :)

ok this is kinda of dumb but im a little younger and somethin in her age group may be to say somethin like, oh man this is pretty good
wanna try?... mmm thats good she miht say ....then you could say i know i bet your the first one of all your friends to try an ecig ..... she might say yeah.....then you could say well i have a spare if you would wanna try it out ,show it off in front of your friends ?.............................

the only reason i say this is because to me im 27 not much older than her but when i was 22 it seemed like "keepin up with the jonses"
everything was a competition

just my opinion and good luck

I'd give her the set up you mentioned farmer-bric, a short tutorial on how to use it, give her some juice to top up with, and then just walk away to let her try it out for the day. Best not to scare the young-uns away with too much info and let them come to you with the questions after they've had some fun with it.
