I am 15 and 1/2 months into vaping and was smoke free the entire time (did light up an analog Nov. 2009 just to see what I was missing 3 drags and put it out). In august I checked all my receipts and determined that I spent an average of 95 dollars a month. Equipment wise I have 2 510 kits and a 901 as well as a 905 kit. I got 2 chargers for 14500 batteries and about 10 14500's. What I have found is that I no longer use any of the kits. I built 2 3.7v box mods that I use KR8 cartos on and 2 5v usb box mods (one for the house with a wall plug and one for the truck with a lighter adapter). I have found that 801 atties last for a couple of months on the 5v passthroughs and only cost about 5 bucks. You can get everything for the mods for less than 50 bucks and that's with spares. Box mods aren't for everyone but for me they fit perfectly.

Coughing, the initial outlay is more than cigarettes. I spent $13/day for my husband & me on cigs. I bought two rivas at $30/each that I gave away, 3 Smokestick stater kits that I still use that cost $230, 150 cartomizers that cost $460 and enough juice to take a bath in... oh, and a passthrough for $30. I am still in the "I want to try...." stage. I am happy with my SS, and I much prefer cartos to atty/cart,and so I am set their until I have to replace a battery. I have enough cartos to last me a year. But I am still buying juice (my bathtub may leak)!I would estimate my juice at about $350.

This turns out to be $9+ a day, and I am slowing down, And so four months into, there is now a savings!

Go slow, you don't have to buy it all at once.

Oh, and I do feel much better, and my husband doesn't snore so loud!!

Incomplete, I would say. Keep accurate records of your actual expenses. Include everything (tackle box, blue foam, tweezers, anything you buy for vaping or to make vaping better). I use MS Excel, but a piece of paper and a pencil would do.

I tried fooling those banners by entering data with a tweak here and there. Gave up. For what it's worth, I smoked More Reds 120s for 35 years. They're a premium brand, were selling for close to $7 a pack one year ago ... and in 35 years I never, not once, found them on sale. So, like the OP, I was willing to pay the premium price for what I wanted. My point was, and is, primarily that you can do a better track than ANY of the banners can when it comes to "doing the math".

Yes, the signatures are a bit misleading unless you tweak them everytime you purchase some new hardware. And changing the signature is a PITA.

I have receipts for all my purchases and keep a running total on the top receipt. As of the 10th of December, I have spent $983.54 on E-cig related items. That was my last outlay and it should take me well into January.

I used to smoke 2 packs a day. Thats a carton every 5 days. As of today, thats 160 days without spending anything on cigarettes. 160 divided by 5 = 32 cartons. A carton of Basic 100's was $61. Multiplied by 32 cartons = $1952 not spent on cigs in just over 5 months.

Comes to $968.46 in my pocket/bank account. Very close to $200 a month. I must have spent that $968 on something else, lol, cause its gone. Oh yeah, Christmas.

As you can see, my signature banner says I have saved about $1155, but that doesn't include the Roughstack I bought, or the 2 back-up Ego kits and a few other things.

So thats how you do the math.
