Mouse #8 CAPTURED. The other trap caught a mouse too but he escaped. The Frank Morris of mice. He chewed a hole in the back bait wall and lifted it high enough to escape. Two more traps ordered! Will be here tomorrow and will have three traps going (barring anymore destruction).

That's sure a lot of mice. Do you live in the woods or something? We've been in our house for 20 years and I've never seen a mouse or evidence of one.
Yep. We don't have a lot of mice but they show up once in awhile. Never expected 8+ in my crawl space. And my neighbors think I'm an idiot for not killing snakes I find on my property.

That was a 6 year old post. However, Stihl is not an easy brand for DIY repairs. Not easy to find quality parts. Great equipment, DIY

Lol, so I agree with that....simple repair....remove the little plastic fuel primer which was broken. Easy...replaced with new one, won't draw the gas in :(

I don't mind honey bees, but hornets, yellow jackets and wasp have been bad at my house. Never had any issues with hornets but all ready I've sprayed two nest this year.
Me too! They seemed to live above the ceiling of the porch. I sprayed them where the perched outside the opening. Twice. Still, there were more. I stalked them individually, and when there were none buzzing around I sprayed directly into the opening, and that wasp & hornet killer puts out a major stream. Today, I shot down one on the wing. I do so hope that was the last. I'm allergic to bee stings, and assume that applies to hornet stings.

I also have no problems with honey bees. They have their business; I have mine. No conflict.

Having a beast of a time finding where the regulator is located on my b&s engine in my Ariens lawn tractor. It's a 17.5 hp 31C707-3346-G5. No problem finding the solenoid and starter, but I can't find the voltage regulator for the life of me. After trickle charging the battery, starting it up, I'm seeing generally lowish, fluctuating, voltage at the battery terminals when running (rarely up near the 14V zone I'd expect).

I need to find the regulator to see if that is the bad part, and also to see which version it is (that engine has 2 regulators spec'd, different parts with different current ratings).

I'm trying to find a photo or drawing showing the placement of it.

I got some spectracide pro in today, will head to camp tomorrow evening to spray the nest chunks now on the ground, hopefully take care of any residual yj. Hot shot insecticide strip is now in the shed. Hopefully Friday will be the last time with the bee hat, rain jacket, and jeans, I'll get no visitors when I open the shed doors [emoji3]

I’m not familiar with the B&S engines but am familiar with Kohler and onan engines. The ones I’ve worked on have a silver rectangular box with three terminals and ground through the case. Two wires are from the charge coil and the other is the positive dc to the battery. Some of the smaller ones have just a small diode that provides low amperage charging and are found either inside the cover where the ignition switch is or mounted to the side of the engine.

Had another one chew his way out of the trap so the mouse-o-meter remains at 9. There are these 1/8" holes in these traps for air and bait smell to go thru. That's where they start their digging. It's slow going at first but once they enlarge the hole a little they go to town. They use teamwork. They chew what they can leaving it for the next mouse who chews the hole some more. Eventually they break thru.

I only caught one in my place and it was a glue trap. He struggled until his whole body was stuck sideways lol. Couldn't budge.
I almost got a glue board but all I had was live traps and they were working great so I stayed with them. I live next to the woods which go on forever so I have plenty of space to dump them out (and plenty of predator wildlife who would love to invite them to dinner). Sadly, they took out both pieces of my artillery (aka traps). I have two more on their way so I'm keeping the heat on them.

I have a car, Ceejay. Sometimes, the expresses an interest in spiders and lizards. That's about the extent of his interest.
I just said that to be silly. I think he has a cat that he won't claim but that has rather claimed him. I know what you mean though, I have 3 cats...still have to set mouse traps.

Thanks for reading over my typo. In fact, I do have a car, but you knew I meant "cat".

Thought you had a cat Bronze?
Had. A bunch of them over the years. Last one died 3+ years ago. They wore me out. Neighbor's cat is over a lot. That's enuf for me.

Stop feeding your cats. They'll transform into excellent hunters. :)
