FLush with the top of the battery is TOO far up! WAAAAY too far up. 8-o You may have disconnected the thing.

Hmm my shortie has the opposite problem... it won't turn off after I take a puff until the cutoff kicks in.
Only seems to charge on the wall charger as well.

i only just recently got my two shorty batteries, so i haven't noticed this problem -- yet. i'm glad i've been snooping around and found it, just in case i received mine from the older shipment, or the 'fixes' aren't here yet -- so i don't panic. because i tend to overpanic fast and think later. 
i've noticed that a very few times, even after i stop inhaling, the light's still on and you can hear it 'fizzing,' as if it wants me to take more or something, haha. 'take moooooore!' it doesn't happen often, though.

Yours are likely from the newer batch without this issue, if you just look up what you ordered it should say, the old style ones are marked as such.
My autos do that as well and I think it's just the switch resetting after your puff, if you hit the cut off time it won't do that.

There are two quick & easy way to tell whether a particular shorty is the old or new style.
1. Directly opposite the V4L logo, the older batch say "Vapor King".
2. The older shorties have a groove in the battery center post. The newer ones do not.

I need to perform the fix on some of these, I have like 4 older version shorties that I never used much but when I did they didn't work right.
Some that I have "stutter". Like when you drag from them they switch from working to not working. I didn't try the fix yet but should the fix help this also?

Just got 2 of these from the older batch, 1 had this problem out of the box, found this video and the fix worked perfect, thanks.
