Just got one and so far the flavor isnt there, all juices taste the same. I have a .8 28ga mico in it now built on a 5/64. have cotton puff in it, also tried peaches and creme yarn. Played with the airflow, start a few different amounts of cotton and still its meh.

I did clean it when it arrived. soaked in dawn and hot water and scrubbed it. I didnt think it would be full flavor tlike my drippers but but I at least expected some.

Any advice would be great.

I've had a R91% running near continuously with 60/40 absinthe for about 7 months now. I've gone up and down with resistance and wire gauge, and have settled on a fairly specific build... 27ga 10/9 compressed, 2mm ID @ 1.0Ω. Although, I've switched from cotton or ramie to rayon a few months ago.

Assuming a genuine Kebo R91% V1 or V2 with a V1 positive post (if it is a clone, variables may be an issue), and you're using a clean cotton wick about 1" in length... the only things that stand out as possible issues, IMO, are the coil dimensions, resistance... and if too low, perhaps coil height off the deck, which should be around 1.5-2.0mm.

If all you have is 28 gauge, try a 10/9 wrap for 1.4Ω resistance. If you have 27 gauge... then a 10/9 for 1.2Ω, or 26 gauge for 1.0Ω. Where am I going with this? Coil surface area. A 28ga 6 wrap is pretty tiny.
A modest resistance with the greatest coil surface area for the gauge (your 6/64"/2mm mandrel is fine), with a fairly loose fitting cotton wick tends to work consistently well in the R91%... at least for me. ;-)

Last thing... tightening the air flow will increase the juice draw into the atomizer chamber... producing a bit wetter wick, so if your cotton is wicking well, you'll have more juice at the coil.

that was unpleasant. made a .8 twisted 28. so far blah, maybe it will be better in the morning lol.

idk might just give up on it and sell. the whole build, drain, build, drain routine is already annoying me. I dont have to much juice left and once its gone im not buying anymore. This will be better in the ends of someone else, maybe im just to use to drippers

If you're willing to give it another go, do not fill your tank up until you're happy with your coil. Keep the outer tank pieces off and build/test it as if it is a dripper. That will save you the trouble of filling and draining, which is a pain. I am so sorry you a frustrated with this, but would you be willing to take a photograph of your deck/coil/wick for us?

I have found for me that lower resistance gives a stronger throat hit, while higher resistance gives better flavor. So far, 2.0-2.2 with 30 ga. is a very nice vape. If I go lower than 1.8, Hits stronger, but, almost NO flavor!

KnifeMaker

might give my protank set up a try. just 5 wraps of twisted 32 non micro style.
