How to handle lipstick?

I did a search and couldn't find where this was addressed before. Sorry if I'm asking something that has been dealt with in the past.

My question is - lipstick - how do you deal with it on your PV?

I don't wear lipstick that often, but on the rare occasion I get all dressed up and wear make-up, I want to complete it with lipstick. But, then I have the issue of lipstick on my PV. It wasn't such an issue with analogs - I pitched the .... when I was done. If it messed up my lipstick, I applied more. But, I don't want a sticky colored ring on my cart, carto or drip tip.

I know there are lipsticks that claim you can eat an apple and it will stay in place, but I haven't found one that really works that way. I have used the lip stains - and the color does stay better, but they are typically covered by a gloss - that will get on my PV.

Even if I don't want to wear lipstick, I tend to have chapped lips and use a lot of Chapstick and gloss to keep them moisturized. Alas, these too end up on my PV.

Just wondering what all you other gals do...

I use chapstick all the time, I bought some of those little alcohol wipes to clean them with.

I quit using gloss ... bare lips now. Or I will use chapstick then wipe it off my lips before I vape.

I wash my tips every night.....washed my carts too...the few times I used cartos, I used alcohol ...sometimes you have to use your fingernail to get your "lip" off !

Try Revlon Colorstay...I don't use the gloss that comes with it and I don't put it on thick. Have to wait 3 or 4 minutes but then it's set. I have never added to it during the day...

+1 and Rimmel has a cheap version of it that performs relatively well...at least in the wine colors.

I do use the gloss and wipe my drip tip with kleenex....

I think you can find Rimmel at Walgren's, Wal-Mart and some grocery stores.

I use Revlon Color-Stay and it really does stay! But I carry kleenex for those times when I'm wearing MAC or Nars lipsticks.

I'm not a big lipstick wearer - maybe twice a month? But I do love my Chapstick and lip gloss (anything to keep my lips from drying out), but haven't really used it since I started vaping. And just couldn't figure out what to do those few times a month I do want to wear lipstick. Guess I'm going to have to include a tissue in my carry case.

I have some great lipstain w/gloss from Avon (it doesn't get gummy and flakey or leave that dark lined lip look as it wears off) that sounds like the Revlon Colorstay or the Rimmel stuff mentioned above. I guess I'll have to try it w/o the lip gloss. My lips are just so dry that I can't imagine using it without it. Guess I'll just have to experiment (and keep a tissue handy).

What I do with the color stay is go a bit darker than I normally would and put it on VERY thin and quickly moosh it around. I guess I use it as a "stain". But I never have to refresh it during the day. It is a bit drying tho.....but I still like it.

I don't wear lipstick a lot but when I do I just carry a small pack of Kleenex with me and wipe the mouthpiece off after I vape. I use an ego-t and it doesn't stain the cartridge and i just reapply a little lipstick. When I use chapstick I don't even bother wiping it off. No one can see it LOL

Hi, I've started wearing lipstick again recently and hit this problem. It was particularly noticeable on white cartomizers.
I carry a tissue and wipe them off, all I can do.

+1 on the alcohol wipes, Fudgey. I use lip gloss, which wipes off easily, but still don't want it on there. I buy the little alcohol wipes that diabetics use for injections. They take the stuff right off. Plus, I'm a little OCD regarding the germs, even though they're mine! With an analog, we just threw them away and the next one was "clean"...... not so with this stuff.

Alcohol wipes, great idea! Small, cheap and very effective. As I use cartomizers, I'd be happy, though I'd be a bit careful if you have a plastic inhaler tip, not sure if alcohol would damage the surface?

Good point..... it might. I use the aluminum ones, so I never thought about it. I have wiped the cartos with the alcohol when i wasn't using a drip tip and it didn't seem to affect the outer plastic wrapper, but they seem to be made of something different. Kinda like using "goof-off"...... you almost have to do a test spot.

Ya know I have yet to touch this thread... I wore lip gloss for the first time today vaping, I just kinda wiped it off on the inner hem of my hoodie. I know ick, but I didn't think to grab tissues. Thanks for the pointers!
