I know this is an issue just for us crazy collectors, but i hope for the future that history is history and new stuff don't change history. So now it seems we can change the number 53 for the Old-alloy-brass 61xx to a lot more.

That is if ...these 7xxx brass -- are they Old or new alloy?

I just got my third ggts-nickel. Holding them i found they had different weight. So i did a study to see what was different. The tubes were quite like, but the vent-cap was different. On the 1089 it seems very heavy to be nickel. (could it be SS??) But the ad-caps is different too. I wonder if the 911 can be plated alu, and 1089 and 1132 maybe plated brass?
Anyone one something about this?

Yes Runar, same here for # 886 and 1159.
I think the venting cap of TS-4 is plated alu, while the one of TS-5 is solid nickel.

I don't think there's plated alu nor a solid nickel mod... but we'll have to wait imeo for that
