We have the parts to do these, just not on the site yet :(

The regulator we chose, the NCP630, works great but the pins are small and soldering to them is a real pita.. So we designed a circuit board, .625 x 1.5 long and we *should* have gotten our first batch on 2/28 but no show and status shows them pushed out until 3/8... grrr... So if all goes well then these, in both part form and assembled should be on the site soon..

That is very nice!
I was wondering if you would make a "how to" guide on building a VV box mod as you did with the 3,7V mod. The guide on the 3,7V mod is worth gold to me as i have never done electronics before.

Im going to order this 510 mod kit when i get my paycheck and build it from your guide, and after that i would very much build a VV box mod, but as i have read, this is a little more to it. A guide with pictures would be really appreciated, as would a 510 VV box mod kit ;D

I would defenitely 100% buy your 510 VV box mod kit (so easy just buying a kit than choose all parts and hope you chose the right ones) And so would many more im sure!

There is not really any good guides on how to build a VV box mod out there, the closest i have come is this video on youtube YouTube - How to Make a Variable Voltage Mod E-Cig Personal Vaporizer But the schematic she draws is a little hard for one who knows very little about wiring power to convert to actualy making the mod. She does not show where to solder this and where this wire goes and stuff.

Anyways, may be a little too much to ask :p Eventually in the future i will try to make a VV box mod, after a little practice on the easy 3,7V box mod.

Sincerely Aalsen

I am also interested in a VV kit/tutorial/parts via reasonably priced one-stop shopping instead of piecemeal. It would be very helpful to us non-EE-yet-future-mad-scientist folks (who don't already have junk drawers full of random parts.)

Maybe it's time to put up a new product page for a waiting list? Just to keep us salivating until you get the parts in?

Thanks Hoog!

if you truly have no experience in electronics i wouldn't recommend trying to build your boxmod ( i tried it...and screwed it up...then ended up just ordering a maxi roughstack)

The 3,7V box mod does not look too difficult. And if i mess up, its not too much power going through my body :p Plus its really cheap compare to the ones you buy complete ;)

I would recommend picking up a 3.7 kit, and a 5 volt kit, and try to build them both.

Keep in mind that the video tutorial does not include the instructions for the LED but here is what to remember if you want the LED (not good at all for stealth vaping in bright places, as those LED's are super bright. But they sure look cool. I also tend to prefer the slow changing LED's, because the color change for me is a natural spot to finish my drag.

Here are some instructions for where to put the LED

The positive lead of the LED (the longer lead) goes to pin number 4 with the resistor for the LED in line with the positive lead. The negative lead of the LED gets soldered directly to the outside edge of the atty connector.

They are not difficult to build, but my first one was a little rough going. The second one was a breeze. Good luck.

Thank you Godzilla, good advice :)
I actually built a 3,7V kit today :D I got it in my mail earlier. It was actually pretty easy to build. Well, the holes came pre-drilled and a buddy of mine did all the soldering (he insisted) :p But i did everything else! I tried it with a regular 1,5V battery because i dont have the 3,7V batteries yet, and the led show a weak read light that dissapeard, so i guess we did good.. :D

Way to go Aalsen!

I've only been vaping for about a month and the first three weeks was with an off brand e cig. I've had my 510 for a week now. I've been thinking of trying a boxmod sometime soon. Check out the Puck http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-mods/106016-how-build-puck.html. I want to try something like this.

Nice :) That Puck mod would last "forever"! But have you thought about a VV box mod? When you first are going to have a bunch of batteries in there, might as well be able to vape at 6 volts and down to 3 volts? ;)

I mean, making a really good box mod like that, might as well turn it to great :p Hehe :) But if you have found your sweetspot, there would be no reason for building a VV box mod, just making the vaping last longer :D

Oh Hoog - I have finally decided there is a conspiracy to keep my cleaned outta cash!

I've done roughstack and that's my go to, did the Roughstack Extension and because I've been burned by another supplier on higher ohm rated attys (hint hint) and it's a little harsh, I'd like to tweak my experience down a couple of volts. Sign me up for the waiting list too!!
