LOL tyI just finished putting the noalox on everything, sat down when finished and here this is! And what did I do??? Put some on the base where the atty goes, oh no!
BTW - gorgeous mod.
np!!!!!!:dthanks so much from me and my atty.
Is Ox-Gard just as good?
Is it grey? There is a yellow oily compound (I forget who makes it) that causes acne. Most people in the electrical trade tend to use Penetrox.
HI Bababooey,
Yes the Ox-Gard is grey.
So weird how videos make it look as if the threads are reversed. Looks to me like you are righty loosy... hehehe.... Thanks for showing everyone how to apply this stuff as it can be messy if overdone. Noalox is a great way to keep those end caps from seizing up especially if the PV happens to sit for a while. Plus it keeps the nasty corrosion away too.
Hey TesDoes Noalox remove corrosion, or just prevent corrosion?
If Noalox does not remove corrosion, then...
If we have a PV that has been used extensively without Noalox, what is the best way to clean off any corrosion in the threads before applying Noalox?
Also, is there any upside (or downside) to applying Noalox to the spring?
