I just finished putting the noalox on everything, sat down when finished and here this is! And what did I do??? Put some on the base where the atty goes, oh no!

BTW - gorgeous mod.
LOL ty

As for putting it on the atty base i would wipe it clean and use some rubbing alcohol to remove it :D

So weird how videos make it look as if the threads are reversed. Looks to me like you are righty loosy... hehehe.... Thanks for showing everyone how to apply this stuff as it can be messy if overdone. Noalox is a great way to keep those end caps from seizing up especially if the PV happens to sit for a while. Plus it keeps the nasty corrosion away too.

Nice vid and great tip! Thanks amajn, not enough people know about this stuff. I redo mine once a month. Clean off the old and put new on. Very good that you included the part about not putting it on the atty threads! Wish someone had told me that first LOL I found out the hard way! It WILL cause a short so DO NOT put it on the atty threads.

Ox is also a great product i just have always used the Noalox but OX should work just as well

As to how often is should be re-applied.....Once a month wipe down all the threads with a damp wash cloth/Paper towel get all the debris/gunk out
From dust or whatever

then dry and Re-apply a nice thin layer!

It makes such a diff !:toast:

ty for the comments!
I am a Shotgun owner/Hunter and have always had the practice Instilled into me very young (from my Father)
To clean and oil your guns or any metal devices/threadings so this was a natural process for me but others im sure have no idea!

And when investing sometimes hundreds or more in expensive mods it makes sense to spend 3-4 buxs and take care of them!

Does Noalox remove corrosion, or just prevent corrosion?

If Noalox does not remove corrosion, then...

If we have a PV that has been used extensively without Noalox, what is the best way to clean off any corrosion in the threads before applying Noalox?

Also, is there any upside (or downside) to applying Noalox to the spring?
Hey Tes

Yes Noalox is a corrosion prevention creme if You do have alot of corrosion already on threading/springs grab some white vinegar and apply it fizzing is normal then wipe clean and then apply one or two light coats of noalox

I do not think the adding to the spring will make a difference its grounding the current hope this helps!
