I am useing Boge 3.0 cartos and have both size tanks. The short tank leaves about 3/16" of carto exposed at the top and obviously the large tank is well to long. I do not care for the looks of the exposed carto knor a gap between pv and tank and it would be usable juice tank if it was 3/16" longer. So what does it take to cut the M1A1 tubeing that would leave a nice looking square and finished cut. Has anyone used a tubeing cutter for copper tubeing on a M1A1 tank I have never tried cutting plastic and dont want to have the tank crack or shatter.

Thanks

Well being the impatient sort I went ahead and tried the tubeing cutter and it worked fine I just took my time with the pressure and let the cutter do its work and didnt force it.. Next one I will wrap the tank with masking tape where the cutter roller wheels touch the tank to keep from marring the tank.
I didnt like the way the fill plug stuck out so far and decided it need trimmed as well found out there made of plastic so robbed a aluminum plug from a minisub and shortened that and now have a polished aluminum mini plug.

Thanks for the tip. I have one coming in the mail. I'll use one of the plugs like the mom and pop tanks use. Been making those tanks instead of buying them. Have plenty of parts here :toast:
