Just seriously got into RDAs. Currently using a TOBH.

What I'm finding is that at least one screw is coming loose once day. Usually on the earth post.

My MVP is switching off as the loose screw is creating a short when this happens, and it's causing the ohms to go up, never down, but jumping.

Any ideas about this?

The serious side is this; I've just
spent the last 2 months researching Mech safety before I purchase one. So I'd also like to ask, has anyone had this problem with a Mech, what happened, how did you become aware of the problem and how did you prevent it happening again?

Thank you [emoji4]

Thank you.

I'm getting some new screws, so may be some longer ones and some washers is a good idea.

Getting to learn my kit is something I had forgotten regarding my rda. Thanks for the reminder. A check every 8 hours seems about right.

Thank you both [emoji4]

I wouldn't say that the screws need to be longer, but wider. I used to have this happen with my Tobh until I got screws with wider threading from Ace Hardware.

You really have an insane amount of work to do on this site with all of these mispostings. Thanks for doing what you do to keep this place so organized! :)

It could be the guage of wire your using a easy fix to your problem is instead of cutting the wire flush tighten your screw down just until you see your wire bend up a little then bend the wire up against the post and then tighten it down all the way I found this keeps my coil in place better and keeps my wire from moving around at all and when your wires move that's the main reason screws come loose also after your done fixing your coil and wicking it make sure you tighten it down cause screw can come loose for wicking
