How to taste-test flavors?

Hi all, new to DIY, realized I can't make anything til I have some idea how the flavorings themselves taste.

Using the least amount of flavoring and no-nic base (I'm going to have to use VG since I'd PG sensitive), what do you suggest?

Super concentrates:
1 drop flavoring to ? drops VG
or
2 drops flavoring to ? drops VG

Non super concentrates:
1 drop flavoring to ? drops VG
or
2 drops flavoring to ? drops VG

I figure I better do this and make notes, so I know the tastes and then I might be better able to figure out what will go with what, right?

Right notes, take plenty of notes.

Also note that alcohol based flavoring is probably around 36, or more, drops per ml, while straight VG might be closer to 20 drops per ml, so don't assume you can calculate percentage from drops alone like that.

Well, I just need a ball park. I'm not MAKING any juice yet, just asking this:

How do I know what a flavoring is going to taste like, in VG? (I will be making all my juice in as close to 100% VG as possible, so I won't be mixing any PG at all, except for what is already in the flavorings.)

So, lets say I have no idea what Catalan Cream tastes like.
Just start dropping it in, vape, then drop more in, then vape, or what?
