I just discovered e-cigarettes recently. I had vaguely head about them before but never gave it too much thought. About 2 weeks ago my brother got me to try a Blu disposable and I really liked it. That same day I ordered the Blu premium 100 starter kit. Five days later it arrived and it worked great until I realized I was charging batteries constantly and the cartomizers were not lasting very long either. I started looking online for something better and found this site. After poking around and reading a few threads I found a link to a local supplier in my area. Drove down there today and picked up a joyetech ego-c and a few bottles of juice. All I have to say is WOW what a difference. So far I'm loving this thing. I never intended to quit smoking using e-cigarettes but now I do. Have not touched a real cigarette in 3 days and I have no desire to either. I couldn't even begin to think of a time when I went a whole day without at least one cigarette. 27 years of smoking is it for me. I'm gonna save sooo much money too!

Welcome Dogoth! Congratulations on your quit, that's fantastic! I was a 27 year smoker too and it's such an amazing feeling to know you NEVER have to smoke another cigarette again. Your gonna love the journey, so much to experiment with. The eGo is a great system, and you have so many options to spruce it up.......Have fun and keep on Vaping! 
Congratulations! The ego is a very popular device for alot of people. That little -c gives me some concern though, as some people have problems with the cartos that come with them. If they give you problems, know that there are a ton of other things out there that you can use with that ego battery! Welcome to ECF!
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Kay, thanks for the heads up about the cartros. The guy at the store pointed out all the extra stuff that can be used with the ego-c. Not sure if there were other cartros I can use (seemed like a lot of optional gear at the time) but I'm guessing there was.
I thought I would save sooo much money too, but then it becomes a hobby/obsession, and you have to have backups for your backups, etc... That's not a knock on you or vaping, it's fun, and if it keeps you off the analogs, all the better. Good luck, and enjoy!

Welcome, and ditto all those congrats! My first kit was over 2 months ago and before that had smoke cigarettes since I was 14 years old. 33 years of smoking cigarettes and 2 months of vaping. You want to know the oddest and most amazing thing? You won't miss the analogues because vaping is BETTER!! I still have a half finished pack of cigarettes in the kitchen somewhere and when I get round to cleaning the kitchen properly thats when I'll throw them away. To me they are litter now.
First of all I have been a hookah enthusiast for the last oh 6 years, even to the point of making my own shisha.
In the first month of using an e-cig i quickly found that i did not like the 510 aty set up i had and needed to learn more and find better but did not even know anything more was out there.
Thanks to Scott and his videos on youtube (igetcha69) i quickly learned and knew exactly what i wanted. Since the GG ATTYs were no where to be found (till now) I have been using a clearomizer rebuildable (if you know how to get it apart without breaking it). Made a double wick and coil and been content to a degree using it. It works well with any battery mod and with the provari it works nice so i can adjust the throat hit depending on the mood it is in.

Welcome Dogoth! I too had a similar experience to yours. I started on a brand from a gas station and that lasted about a week. A friend of mine had a Ego-c and I tried his and HAD to upgrade. I smoked for 38 years, managed to quit them on my 4th day of vaping and have not looked back. That was 7 weeks ago and I have not even missed the stinky analogs. I bought a ego-c twist last week and that makes a BIG difference changing the voltage. You can dial in the exact flavor and throat hit you want with the twist. They are not that expensive either, just google it and you will find a ton of vendors that sell it, all for under $30. Uses the same charger as your regular ego batts. I have also started using some ego clearomizers (same as Stardust I think) and those are an upgrade to the tanks that come with your kit. Tons of e-juices to play around with too. I had to buy a tool box just to store all my different juices, attys, clearos, etc.
. Vaping is a lot of fun and it has become another hobby for me and is much healthier. My blood pressure was a little high before vaping, now its back close to normal and all the morning coughing, hacking, throat clearing, etc. is gone. As a side bonus, you won't believe how much your sense of smell and taste will improve over the next couple of weeks. Enjoy!- Status
