How's this setup for a beginner?

I started few years ago with a bad start - got my self a 510-T beginner's set but it wasn't good enough so I stayed in smoking.. A year later I re-found vaping and now when I have been spending big bucks on it.. I could recommend this as a perfect beginners setup:
- Ego-C Twist 1000/1100mAh battery with charger (or two, if you worry about power outages)
- Ego CC/T2 Clearomizer (best taste, easy to setup - while still pretty cheap) - and ofcourse atomizer heads for it..
- FSUsa Bubble Gum, FSUsa Gummy Bears, Vermillion River's Kentucky Maple Wood, Vermillion River's Kentucky Vanilla, WizMix Ry44, Red U.S.A. - with this setup, one should have a very nice setup of both; equipment and tastes- all propably don't like these tastes, but I am sure that everyone finds atleast 1 taste from that list that suites for them (atleast for awhile, bubble gum's great, but it's not a all day juice for more than day or two..).

I wanted to add also El-Toro's cigarillos naturales to the taste list, but due to big postage's you most propably want to buy a big amount so - it's not propably suitable for beginners to spend amount spended on equipment the same amount spended on single taste of e-juice..

Soon you wont give two craps what it looks like when you go out. Your set up is fine, as long as you don't get a dead battery and you then NEED some nicotine.

After that, look at this chart, http://i.imgur.com/Ohn8o.png. This should help explain watts to you. We measure watts with the equation (volts²/resistance). Volts are what your device is outputting, and resistance is the ohms of your atomizer head. So in the case of an ego twist, if you set your volts to 4v (top of the chart), and you have a 2 ohm atomizer head (left hand side of the chart), you will be getting 8 watts (v²/r, in this case 4²/2, so 16/2 = 8). This chart is color coded to give you an idea of where you should set your volts depending on what resistance atomizer you are using. The higher the wattage, the more heat you are producing.

You are the MAN! Soo much simpler than other charts ive seen.

I just started about 2 months ago and my arsenal has grown. I have 2 Smoov cig styles (one stays in the charger, one by the bed), 1 600 mAH eGo Twist, 1 1000 mAH eGo Twist and a Provari (never leaves the house). It is definitely wise advice to have multiple batteries. It becomes a hobby very quickly. Good luck and welcome.

Ego's are a great place to start. Especially the twists. On my twists, I run anything from 1.7-2.5ohms.

Good day all,

I've been vaping on the Ego-VV 900mah with stardust clearomizer (short n long wick) for a month now. Maybe I will be ordering another battery maybe the Ego-C Twist n my stardust to a Vivi Nova. I still get that burnt taste even after dryburning my stardust clearomizers. Hope the Vivi nova will be a better alternative.

Welcome. GOOD JOB> I got the Ego T along with a clearomizer CE not sure of the version think it was a 2 ohm. I got the EGO twist 1000. I fried my Twist just the other day after a week. Think the T type of atomizer took it out. I had (thank God) gotten a Porvari. I couldn't read the number on the twist. I like the clearomizer for some things mine is about 2 ohms so I can't use the higher voltages. Flavor is very subjective and is a case of hunt till you find one you like. I'm on my 4th flavor (appletini) and have since gotten a Carti. I like the carti as it is easier to fill and you can change out the atomizer when it dies. The clearomizer is easier to clean. I find already that that it helps to clean them. If you like I can post a quote of how. I found it on here. I'll save that for later. Don't want to hit you with too much input. LOL
Again good one welcome and enjoy no tar, coughing up modern art and tasting stuff. Not to mention a bunch of helpful people that are rowing in the same boat. In the same direction mostly. LOL

- Flavors: Fruit Gum Strip (18mg Nic) & Fire Cured (12mg Nic)

I'm not too sure what 2.4 oHm means in reference to clearomizers but they had different numbers... Did i mess up? LOL

Dave, you did great. As others have said, and you now know, you can't get by on one battery. My standard, bare-bones recommendation for beginners is three 650mah Twists (three because the battery life is not stellar, 650 because it's a great size), two chatgers (in case one craps out), at least three Vivi Nova 3.5ml version 2.5 tank/atomizers, lots of juice - and, if your're feeling frisky, a lanyard and trim ring. (The trim ring is great to have even if you don't use a lanyard (to keep the Twist around your neck) becuase it greatly improves the look of the setup.

This is not "the best" setup in the world, but it is my recommendation to anyone who doesn't have it, regardless of experience level. This video from Grimm Green sums up why:

I'm pretty sure that Twists have a one year warranty, but mine have been very reliable. I've bought about sixty of them, and only one has had a problem.

Also, a dab of red paint/nail polish right on the middle voltage setting (4.0 volts) makes it simple to see where you are. i don't care if I'm at 4.2 or 4.4; I just turn the knob until I like the vape.

After switching from a cheap 808 the Ego-Twist was my next and still current pv (until my silver bullet arrives ) They work great, their cheap, able to switch voltage depending on mood and equipment, and all around solid pv to start your vaping journey. Not quite sure exactly what you're calling "adding it to [your] favorites", but I'll assume that means either A) adding this thread to your subscribed threads (which you can make automatic in your ECF settings - any thread you post in will automatically be added to your subscribed threads); or B) adding the URL of the thread or page to your web browser favorites.

Either way, one thing your could do is click on the Post Number (in this case, "11"), which will put the URL of that particular post into the URL/address bar of your browser (and bring you to that post), which you could then copy-and-paste (CTRL-C/CTRL-V) into a Notepad (or other text editor) file in a [your] computer folder called "ECF favorite posts" or the like.

Alternatively, you can save entire ECF (or any other) web page by clicking on "Page", the "Save As", and then save the entire page as an .html file on your hard drive.

These suggestions are assuming you use MS Explorer and MS Windows - not a very safe bet these days. Regardless of which OS/browser you use though, you should be able to do the equivalent.

Anyone else? I'm really not all that great with computers myself.

I would recommend Biansi iMist for a great starter kit.

I've bought Ovale Elips first. Great flavour but leaked to much (or condensation was too high).
Secondly i've got Ovale Ego-C and the worst leakage happened 4 times with different flavour pg/vg's.
Third ) got 2 stardusts and used 2 days and threw away after awful burnt tastes over and over.
... finally found Biansi iMist and in love wit it for 2.5 weeks. Only one wick changed and still the same atomizer and NO leak!
