Be careful with Efest batteries  I don't want to get anyone upset or start a argument.
Efest re-wraps other companies batteries which is no big deal, But Efest exaggerates the battery specs.
What I mean by exaggerates, the purple Efest are not a 20A but are a rewrapped Panasonic NCR18650BE that are only rated for 4A max continuous, 6.5A max pulse
I personally wouldn't use a Efest battery, especially for sub-ohm vaping.

This is the company that first did testing on them, I right click and use Google Translate.
Efest Purple IMR 18650-3100 "20A" Akkutest in der Dampfakkus.de AkkuDB
For Google Translate another site click here

Efest sells 4 different purple 18650 batteries.
All are rewraps.
The 30a cells are re wrapped Sony vtc4s.
(Vtc4s weren't made to be sold direct to the public)
I use efest 30a, 35a, and 38a 18650s, but I do so knowing what they are and knowing those are not legit numbers.

I don't push any cell over 20a.

I bought a nitecore charger and it came with 4 trustfire batteries I charged then to use in a flashlight ( I would never use one in an apv or mechanical ) they all blistered after using the flashlight for less than ten minutes. Imagine if I had used then in a mechanical or APV!! Needles to say they were disposed of quickly!!!!

I wouldn't use a battery with the word "FIRE" in the name.:shock:

Not much difference in a flashlight and a mechanical mod.
The word "mod" comes from modified flashlight.
Modified to accept an atomizer instead of a bulb.

Vape safe and shine safe:vapor::cool:

Okay - For those of "Us" who do not know what "You" are talking about - Or what any of these abbreviation/s mean without double checking and/or having to look them up - nor care to learn all this technical "STUFF" to keep in "OUR" Heads all the time (especially since there is too much in there already because of all the "C" that is filling it up right now) - May I please ask Ya' to keep it as simple as possible - "You" Know With A "KISS" . . . ;)

More importantly, I DO NOT WANT TO BLOW UP - NOR BE SCARRED FOR LIFE EITHER . . .

SO - "Efest" Batteries - Use - Not Use ! ! !

AND - If NOT . . . What am I supposed to do with the few dozen 18650/18500/18450 I have already . . .

NOT NICE ! ! ! :mad: :-x :censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored: :-x :mad:

I use the efest 30amp purple 18650 batteries regularly.
They are fine unless you are trying to chase clouds with ultra subohm builds.

They are rewraped Sony VTC4 cells which are good batteries and can be safe with builds that draw as much as 20amps.

Efest does exaggerate figures so do a little research before pushing them in a mechanical mod.

I didn't mean to say Efest was a bad battery if that's how I came across.
I personally won't use a Efest battery.
Not being truthful about a batteries specs is pretty risky.
And if they will do that, then what else are they capable of doing.

I found this about Efest rewrapping Sony and I cut & pasted it from here,
Best batteries for cloud chasers/high current: Sony VTC4 vs Efest 38A – Liion Wholesale Batteries
I also unwrapped all the batteries, but it's not very interesting because both Efests are completely blank underneath, no markings at all.
It looks like Efest is having them privately made just for Efest, they're not rewrapping a major cell.
The VTC4 has the normal Sony markings that you can see through the green wrapper.
So I don't see a point in posting those pics.

So from what I read on that site they are a pretty good battery, but I still don't trust Efest :(

Side Note
The Sony battery factory was by the Nuclear plant Fukushima, the one that had the melt down.
They closed that factory and moved production to the Philippines, but during this time,
No batteries were being made.
Even after they got the factory up and running, The new factory couldn't keep up with the demands of the VTC4 and VTC5.
Plus they had some QC problems at their factory.

I have a hard time with the story about Sony batteries being stock piled in some warehouse.
I got some VTC4's and VTC5's I got them before the stories of warehouses and clones.
But I still have to be sure
I ordered a $9 280 pcs 8 Color Kit 29.5MM Φ18.5MM PVC Heat Shrink Tubing For 18650 18500 Battery
And a $20 Wagner heat gun, you don't need a heat gun, most people just use a cig lighter.
But I'm going to cut the wrapping off and see what my batteries really are.

Try illumn. Com for battery needs.
Extremely reputable and crazy cheap.
That way you can stop guessing about the VTCs and buy from a trusted source.

My Sony's are over a year old, I haven't bought any since the clone wars started
I use AW's in my older mods, but I have some LG's and Orbtronics I can use, which since using them I trust them.
And I heard good things about Panisonic, Samsung and MXJO 18650's.
So there's just to many good batteries out there to take a chance on Sony's right now.

Orbitronics trust fire, and MXJO do not make batteries.

Samsung, Panasonic LG and Sony do.
