Congrats to today's winners!!!

My last move was from AK to WV. Packed only what I couldn't bear to part with because at the time it was $1.87/lb for shipping so would look at something and ask if worth that and a lot got left behind. Then I had to wait almost 2 months for it to get here

Richmond, Va...Right in Altria's back yard.
Heres three more of my works.

The first is a viking shield made from styrofoam, plastic googly eyes, several coats of elmers glue and water and then acrylic paints. I made the wood effect with a soldering iron.

The axe was made from foam mat from northern tool along with spackling paste, acrylic paints and elmers glue.

The yard sign was made from plastic impregnated wood and then painted with acrylics. Youre supposed to put up half your Christmas lights and then put the rest in the Grinchs hand like hes stealing them. I just had to add Max as well :)

Speaking of making things: OK, this one might tick off the ladies... because a non-home-maker man did it.

This is me in my Halloween costume that I made (when I was still single). I decided I wanted this type of costume, so I borrowed my mom's sewing machine. The boots I had, but the roll-over tops are leather (hand stitched - the machine couldn't handle leather). The pants are velvet, the shirt is faux silk, the cape is velvet with a lining of some shiny stuff I found at the WallyWorld fabric section. The belts are leather, as is the sword sheath, which is covered with velvet (I did not make the sword, but yes, it is real, as is the big dagger on the other hip). I also made a hat of velvet (Robin Hood style with pheasant feather). I took a friend's wife to the dance (she dances, he doesn't) wearing this and I won first prize for my costume. There is art in just about everything.
