If you take away the social aspects of FB what do you got I pretty sweet FREE place to store / host pictures
First all my pics I post on ECF are either hosted by PhotoBucket which has a limit or FB with no limit

Most important thing I use for storing Pics is for insurance Insurance companies love to see pics if you ever have to file a claim for lost or stolen stuff.
But in case I get robbed or God forbid I lose everything I own in a fire, I try to keep pics on line as proof of my stuff.
You can make the pic folder private too so thieves don't see what ya got

I used to keep them on USB external hard drives but one went bad and I lost everything on it and someone stole the other one

This actually happened to me. I was able to pull pics of fb showing me wearing my jewelry or holding my camera ect. My laptop was stolen as well so I lost about 100gb of pics and 89gb of vids. Fb let me get some of it back.

I'm with you Sir ... Just family and relatives! Most of my family is out of state as are my relatives and it's a great way to communicate!

I have no opposition to social media for what it offers, that said, I do not like the idea of having all my "stuff " on a site 30 years post my death. I have a cousin who passed away 3.5 years ago and I can still visit her FB page. So I just use Skype and send pics on email for those outside my general area.
