Wouldn't fox pee scare the deer away? Yes, I know there's a size difference and fox don't catch deer, but they could bite a deer's nose.

Naw... I use fox pee as a cover scent all the time. Especially when the deer haven't started rutting yet.

Edited to add... the wife hates it though.... "YOU ARE NOT WASHING THOSE IN MY MACHINE!!!!"

LOL!!

I see, cool. Shows how much I know about hunting heh.
It's all good, man.... some of us grew up having to hunt to eat. We didn't have a lot of money when I grew up, so about 75% of our meat came from hunting/fishing... the other 25% came from raising our own animals.
We also grew our own vegetables and I had to learn how to do canning at a fairly young age as well... I don't regret any of it. I've been a fairly self-sufficient person all of my life... I get my food from the grocery store these days, but if the need ever arises, I know how to make it on my own...

Cloud chasing should be avoided.

She doesn't understand.... I don't actually put the fox pee on my clothes. I put a few drops on the soles of my boots. LOL!

Aaaaannddddd.... that's why I use a drag rag.... throw it away when you're done with it... ;)
My wife is the same way as your's.... "You're not gonna put that stank in MY washer!!" LOL

I usually go with Camel Snus for hunting. Although I have harvested quite a few deer within minutes of finishing a cigarette when I used to smoke. Funny how that works sometimes.

I like to hunt high! Really high sometimes - like 40-45 feet up so I rarely get detected, at least not when I'm in the stand but walking to and from the stand is what I worry about. I can't tell you how many times I've had to put a cigarette out so I could pick the gun up.

That's why one of these days I'm going to get a .338 Lapua.... purpose build sniper rifle would make an excellent deer rifle.... accurate to somewhere around a mile... I don't care how good their noses are, they'd NEVER know I was there! ;)

Do you think that would take away the fun though? I like to use a rifle when I'm dove hunting but a bow when I deer hunt. I guess I would just have to try it!

My two stands are only about 20 feet. I try not to get within 80 yards of the feeders through.
