Called the cable company and they said call back next week if I'm still broke.
Good thing they never said that to me.
They'd get a call every week for the foreseeable future.

updated,, bummerThat was awesome! Mark me a "D". I've got power but no phone, tv, internet and my cell has very limited service. Need a new roof and a lot of property cleanup. I'm posting from the hospital but won't be here long. Called the cable company and they said call back next week if I'm still broke. Spent most of the storm on a porch on the lee side of the house vaping with my nephew.
Thanx but it's ok. Just stuff. Nobody got hurt. Leaving the hospital now so won't have internet for a while. Y'all have a bodacious eveningupdated,, bummer![]()
We evacuated to a friend's house because ours is a mobile. I was so worried the house would be destroyed along with my vape stash I have been accumulating over the past almost 5 years. Most aren't available anymore because they are old school.We lost a bunch of frozen food also..But I'm more worried about the five liters nicotine

Still no power but no real damage. I would rate B because it may take days for power to be restored. Thankfully we have a generator for fridge, lights, fans and well , but it's hot.
I guess you could say we are an A. No damage except the rotten fence that needed replaced anyway. Lots of cleanup from stuff blown out of the oaks, have someone cleaning it all up for $450.Updated status,, but they may have spotty electric/cell/isp service so dont worry if communications is difficult for them.
Below is our Irma impacted list. If you would like to have your status updated that would be great for others looking out for you. Lets treat it like a report card,,,
A= good shape just a little clean up
B=minor damage/repairs needed
C=more than minor repairs
D= major repairs need
F= total loss, may need help
OK= ok, and you want to leave it at that
Of course you dont have to rate yourself until later.
Its quite possible you wont find your damage/needs until later. I dont want to assign a status to anyone,,so I leave that to you.
If someone needs help they can email of course to see what can be done to assist you. I know that I have some vape related items I can send you if need be.

updated,, and glad to hear it. also glad we have so many with 'A'sI guess you could say we are an A. No damage except the rotten fence that needed replaced anyway. Lots of cleanup from stuff blown out of the oaks, have someone cleaning it all up for $450.
Had trouble finding propane for the generator , all the exchange places were all out, but got them refilled at a gas supplier place.
Still no power, cable TV, or internet, and no idea when we will get it back, just glad I have a good supplier for propane now. The only gas station with fuel has a line 1/4 mile long, glad I don't need regular gas for the generator.
Splat, you should report it. It helps them figure out where the eidespread outages are & where it's just a small of single issue. It effects emergency services.Good morning, the Splat household rates as A.We never lost power, still no internet and I'm very reluctant to bother anyone for something so minor.To many people have huge problems, I gladly put up with whining grand children do them good to get away from electronics for a while.We have a mountain of fallen tree debris on the curb.We lost one limb in the front, those darn grand oaks I was so worried about took a real hit.Glad to say the whole neighborhood came together and everybody pitched in to clean up. I'm so relieved to see people checking in unharmed.
That is greatd Save the meats!Well, electric came on at 11:15 last night after they said it would be a week to 2 weeks before it's turned on. Still no cable or internet but that isn't absolutely needed. I'm just glad the fridge full of stuff doesn't need to be tossed to the curb. The deep freezer full of venison n hog killed last year was all still frozen thank goodness.

Sorry BeaWe spent the day cleaning debris. We also discovered that we lost more trees than we thought - 8 trees.
Our concern now is getting gas for the genny. The area all around us is out of power so gad stations are closed. Further out where they have electric they have ran out of gas. Our neighbor went to get gas for both of us and when he finally found one open the line was over a mile Long!
I have a glass of water with a penny sitting on top so if the freezer thaws out and re freezes I will know cause the penny will sink in the thawed out water. If it's all the way at the bottom then I would have to throw everything away but it was still sitting on top so nothing started to defrost.
Just leave it in there \ don't open the door. Don't open any of the bottles. As long as they are cold, & no condensation inside from being opened, it will remain the same. I pul a 100ml bottle from the freezern bring it to room temp before opening, & store that bottle in a dark cupboard while I use it. It takes months to use it all. It shows little to no changes.I know..the bottles got much more heat in the mail truck..but I'm picky about my nic
haha, thanks,, been there done that,, it wasn't fun.@kross8, we need to put you in charge of FEMA. Possibly the White House as well.... You handle disaster organization with talent and calmnessTY for keeping track of all the ECF members...

Red Cross is an issue. I never donate to them. Sameritan's Purse has been great. Where they are needed & when they are needed, with what is needed. Salvation Army, also. Seeing them first hand & that is where my donations will go.I'm hearing "rumors" that it's going on in a few parts of Texas.
When I found out how much the CEO made during, after, Katrina we stopped giving. Salvation Army is who we support.
