Ok guys! It’s “tomorrow” lol!

I couldn’t decide what build to put in. So I went with SS316L 26g, 3mm id, 7 wraps .5ohm

I’m using the 4ml extension tank.

I use rayon & I tried the short wick technique, cut to deck, angle cut 45 degrees & tucked in the juice wells.

Oh my goodness, it started leaking. So.... decided to just do the “French technique” I just flattened the wick on both ends from both sides of the coil so when you put the tank on it won’t flatten it, as its already flattened :D

Using it for now on my Urus .49 ohms @27 watts fully opened af. The flavor is great! Fantastic actually

For me its a drinker with the specs I have in it. I’ll play with different builds, in the coming days.

It’s a winner!

Awesome!!! Glad you love it and it looks really nice on your Urus mod.

Klaus has very good luck with the ultra short wicking technique. I am hesitant to try that only because it doesn't seem like enough wick to me without leaking.

It sure does vape nice with a 3mm coil but yes it drinks more. Can't wait to get the tank extension for mine.

Yeah I wasn’t expecting it to leak at all as that is the technique with rayon. So imagine my surprise, I put the tank on filled it up & off I went to do something & yuck!

Good thing for the 4ml extension tank or else the 3mm coil would be a 2.5mm one like @AngeNZ as she has found it not to be thirsty. I’ll have to put in the 2.5mm coil & hopefully it’ll sip the juice let AngeNZ has experienced.

Ok, you have me real curious now. In which RTA? The original Project X has 3 x 1.3mm airflow on each side. Is that what you are asking???

Duh, sorry I keep forgetting it's dual - and yep, that's the atty for which I was asking ;)

I'm glad you love it  And it surprises me that it leaked with rayon using the short wick method, rayon is tailor made for that type of wicking. Who knows how the Vape Gods think  French way has been working for me - no leaking, gurgling or dry hits (unless I forget to turn JFC back on )

Yeah I'm glad you got the extension too, or you would be kicking my .... ;)

In my defense (pitiful that it is) I'm in TC 400f 17w preheat 2.5mm 0.6ohm ss316l 28ga. If I upped the watts a bit, it would be a lot thirstier I'm sure :D

I'm also gonna admire your extension to see if I can deal with the height. Got a fixation with short RTAs

I’m going to try putting in a 28g Coil this morning I hope & see how juice consumption is

It really isn’t that tall, in the pic it does look that way. But I’ve been using the Dvarw DL in 6ml mode so there’s that :p

@AngeNZ are you using it with the airflow wide open?

    How about you @ShowMeTwice ?
I enjoy wide open down to a single hole every day. I like it wide open and airy with higher wattages. At other times I close it down to one air hole and vape lower power. IMO the X really shines with a lower build and higher watts.

Please do tell how you like 28g in it.

Once the MTL X version arrives a 28g build will be the first to try.

Heartsdelight and @AngeNZ , I bought some small twisted fused clapton 316L SS (32gx3/40g) the other day from Advanced Vape Supply. Everyone there raves about how good it is with MTL. I do believe it will be a nice match for the MTL X and other RTA's too. Ever since Ange planted the MTL clapton seed in my brain I have been most curious.

I mixed up @wllmc Heartsdelight Apple Cream Cake & yum!!!!! Thanks so much :blowkiss:

’It’s nice & crisp but light with a touch of the creamy bakery at the end for me. As I just made it. Can’t wait to see how it changes in 3 - 5 days.

Vaping it on my new Coppervape Hussar Style Project X rta.

    SS304 28G 2.5mm id 8 wraps .71 ohms at a stunningly low 17 watts.

With this recipe at least I find the flavor still awesome with 28G wire.

I have some Vandy Vape MTL Clapton wire which I gather is similar to what you got from Advanced Vape Supply. Actually AVS wire is probably better quality. I was going to try the MTL Clapton but went with the 28G will try that next.

In case anyone wants the recipe. For Wllmc’s notes go to V U.

That recipe looks great and named after you too! Awesome. ;) I love apple vapes. Apple/pear is one of my favorites. Just logged in and read the thread at VU. Then promptly ordered the flavors I don't have. That recipe is right up my alley. Wllmc, very awesome + generous, sure does have some excellent recipes too. I wish the bakery he mentioned was here. It does look delicious.

Looks like you mixed that up today. Cool!!! :)
Please let me know how it changes over time.

I was browsing VT's web site about a week ago. The Yellow Passion Fruit Letitia mentioned and the Orange Marmalade you mentioned were in my folder of "to get flavors" from them. I couldn't find them at BCV either and really didn't want to order direct. So I am happy Wllmc is getting them to carry those.

I saw Leti mentioned the HS Cream and thought I had that, but no, so ordered that too.

Good to know with the 28g SS304, thanks. Stunningly low 17 watts... I take it you don't get down there much??? I vape from 12 - 32ish depending on what I'm using. I tried higher once like @AngeNZ did a while back with whatever tank that was and it was way TOO much for me. Ange what tank was that and how high did you go???

I ain't going that high ever again, and I much prefer mtl - it was scary, very very very cloudy and I was thankful I'd stuck in 0mg ejuice  Got up to 65watts with the voopoo maat tank. And I tried to mtl with that tank but it was impossible ;)

I want reports on the mtl claptons :thumb: I've never tried anything other than a 28ga n80 twisted wire (in my mix tasting RDA).

I'm really interested in how they would affect the flavour in the project x - it's so damn good with just plain single wire, that my taste buds would probably explode if it was much better

    Uhm... even with SS304 28G 2.5mm id 8 wraps .71 ohms at a stunningly low 17 watts.

My Project X is not sipping the juice

Is it using a freaking shovel still?!?! bad Project X ;) It's official - we don't take RTA consumption notes from me anymore - I just fired myself :D (and filled my X up) (and I'm spamming this thread yet again )

I’ll update you in 3-5 days as to how/if the recipe changes. But as a SnV it’s delish. It’s perfect for the season as it’s hot & I do love my custards & bakeries, but don’t feel like vaping those all day. This is a perfect blend of refreshing Green Apple with a touch of bakery at the end. At the same time not overbearingly sweet.

Glad you ordered the flavors to mix this. Yes HS Cream is a great flavor. @wllmc has a Juicy Strawberry Cheesecake recipe that uses HS Cream in it & has been my nightly vape for as long as he has posted the recipe.

Usually I vape @ around 30-32 watts. But haven’t vaped 17 watts in a long time. Only recently I bought a used Provari which lead me to a Dvarw Mtl & SJMY Doggy with lower watts. But on my regular mods I haven’t gone that low.
