Maybe this is why the glass/quarts tanks from my silver elite would not fit my black one... I just figured it was a machining revision. The tank cover from my silver mod would fit over the glass tank as well, but the glass was quite thin, and ended up cracking... Who knows. Has anyone received their replacement tanks from BuckysBargainVaping.com yet? I'm still waiting on mine.

Before i forget if anyone is interested i have a quick fix for your button so it has about a 1mm throw. if anyone interested i`ll post pick in the next day or two. you just need to disassemble the button. also i bin using the brass chicago screw for about a week now and i didnt mic it to see a drop but i have to admit i`m getting better hits / more vapor from the steel chicago screw. it felt like my Batts kept going dead after a few hits but the charger says charged so i changed out the screw and all is good. just figured i`d share that.

TheJack, I'm interested in whatever it is you've got to post. I too am using the Chicago screw fix (again, BIG thanks to Mickey!) but over the past few days I've had to re-glue it to the delrin. I've done such a shoddy job that the screw now sits at a minute angle so I have to search for the sweet spot on the button. Still hits great, once I find that perfect angle.

I used some kinda generic elmer's-type glue that my mom had laying around. I had some glue that I used for maintaining 1/6 scale models but that's all gone. I have a feeling that would be a much better adhesive than this generalized goopy glue.

If you want to shorten the throw on the button this is a quick fix. all you need to do is disassemble the button and find a bread tie.

Button disassembled...........

this is a pic of where the tie goes. just twist it on and cut it off.

and now a pic of how short the throw is next to a nickle. i couldnt get a dime to stand on end but the throw on the button is shorter then the thickness of a dime. it all depends on the thickness of the wire / string / thread.... what ever you use. personaly i like it better this way.

the firing pin on the button has a notch in it. get a flat head screwdriver that you can get a good grip on it. the firing button needs to be held with vice grips or robo grip / pliers would work. if you put a rubber strip around the button before clamping down youll have a less of a chance of scratching it. now with the button facing down you want to turn that screw counterclockwise. is it a Bi**h "YES". will it feel like it wont move and your going to brake it "YES". the button is glued or lock tight is used so it wont fall out. i didnt think of it when i tore mine apart but if the button is heated up it will give that thread locker some give and it should come right out. just dont get it extremely hot. you have that white piece around the firing pin that could melt. once you get the button out put the flat head in the hole where the button was and tap the handle to push everything out the other side. it will all fall apart when it comes out but i have pics posted of what order it goes. hope that helps.
