I am a newb. LOL and it shows.

I failed to clear out the center tube in a carto, plugged it into my SD keyring, and got fluid inside the battery...

@ first, I just had to suck harder (dont laugh) to get the switch to fire.

Now, it just kinda sux. I have to take a good pull, then try to suck again to get a good drag.

So, I understand that I am the reason it is broken.

But I am pretty techni-capable, and correct me if I am wrong, but this lil battery should not be anymore complicated than me building a RC jet, or building a rifle (both of which I can do!)

So, w/ that in mind, how do I remove the threaded part of the batt to access the internals?

Or is it not worth messing with because I already ordered another one?

yeah leaks are the achilles heel on these. but so far i've had good luck with qtip and aircan. only had one go dead completely. this issue of 'dead sdk' came up on ukv. some very funny '......' comments and an absolutely classic response from the manufacturer.

this thread has some good tips on recovering auto batteries. although for $20 i wouldn't try too hard. these are designed to be disposable.
