I smoked about 2-3 packs per day...so I bought Volt beginner pack with the stronger mg...it almost strangles me...should I go for a lower mg or wait till the bronchitis works its way out?

Last time I had bronchitis I quit smoking for a MONTH...a record for me....the most before that was 3 days!....then I started up again with a vengeance smoking more than even before... then I caught a cold...

Have been smoke free now for about a week, and my lung capacity has already grown, but not sure if this choking is because I should do a lower yield or maybe just wait??

Thanks, I have an 18 in my cart, but wanted to know if it would be strong enough for a 2-3 pack a day smoker...

I would play around a bit and get a few different juices in different strengths. Maybe save a little of the 24mg stuff for when you really need a good hit (after meals, etc..) and then have some 18mg and some 12mg for your all day vaping. Find your sweet spot this way.

I started out too low at 18mg....while I was enjoying it and cig free...I felt that I just needed "more". Moved up to 24mg and that is my sweet spot. I smoked 1 pack/day (sometimes a little more depending on what kind of day I was having) and was smoking full flavored menthols. So I like a strong vape.

From everything I've seen, it's less of a factor how many you smoked as whether it was full strength or not.

I smoked 50/day on average - so similar ballpark. I started off with 25% 24 mg and 75% 12 mg almost 13 weeks ago. Found that my throat was sore a lot. (I am prone to laryngitis since I speak often for business.) People had suggested upping my nic strength since I was having trouble dropping the last few analogs. But I've found that dropping down worked better for me overall. I am split between 12/10 mg now and maybe a few pulls on 24 mg. I am NOT off analogs entirely yet. I've had probably 2 weeks during these 13 analog free though.

Edit: missed the point - with 50/day I was something ultra light 100's. So it was more the continual stream of LIGHT nicotine for me that I needed vs a stronger one.

Everyone is different. What you need and want will be different from other folks, even if they ostensibly smoked the same amount as you. Try different nic levels and choose based on how it actually tastes and feels to you, and whether it satisfies your craving.

I don't know how the different nic levels affect the hit you get because I've only had 24mg. I was probably an average pack a day full flavor menthol smoker so sometimes I still have to vape relentlessly for a few minutes to get what I'm looking for. It's probably mostly the bronchitis and I'm assuming you're new to vaping also, I remember it taking some time to get used to.

Also I'm only saying this because I didn't know at first, but it's better to kind of puff into your mouth first then inhale if you want, rather than straight inhale. Starting with gas station cigalikes I naturally did a straight inhale and got somewhat used to it after a while but it will definitely screw with you if you're sick. I've had to tell this to several friends who had "bad" vaping experiences. Meanwhile people who already puff-inhaled their cigarettes were wondering what our deal was.

Oh yeah sweetie, you should wait until you're well!

Re: Vaping with bronchitis... You do not need to inhale the vapor into your lungs (or even your throat) to get the nicotine. Mouth & nose work.

True. But I find that if I get the vapor in my nose before it's been in my lungs it burns a little and makes my eyes water. Exhaling through the nose after inhaling is perfectly fine. Maybe it's just a personal problem? lol

Ya know I thought I did not suck on the cig..but maybe I did...I cannot remember how I smoked, and it's only been about a week and 1/2? go figure?

I want to say I drew the smoke into my mouth then inhaled, but heck, I don't remember..how strange is that?

Maybe because I was choking on smoking I drew it in then inhaled as little as possible so as not to choke?
