Radio shack has them in a wide range. if you want it to test voltage though you need one that is True RMS. because the voltage on most
mods are pulsed or a square wave.
That dental type of tool is much like a small spring push tool i use to use as a Tech. You could proabably use a bent paper clip. it does not have to be all that strong.
The other stuff is pretty standard. One not polarity is not a big issue when checking the coil resistance.
I use to be an Electronics tech. if all your going to check is ohms you don't have to spend a whole lot. I have a very expensive Fluke but I'm a tech Winnie. LOL

If you check voltage on the battery make sure the red lead has some tape over it so that only the very tip is exposed us that on the center post of the battery and the other on the outside metal and press the button that will give you volts.
You only need this if you dont have a an adjustable or cant read the voltage any other way.
