I've been vaping for 120 days today. No analogs since the minute I bought my first EgO. Smoker for 25+ years. My non smoking wife ordered me a provari for my birthday Wednesday. I received it from my post woman today at 3:30pm. Yes I was waiting and looking out the window all day. I bought the standard size starter kit for $212 with an extra $20 for black finish ($232.95 total). I received the provari, Protank II, two 18490 1100MAH batteries and the Tenergy charger with my kit. No fancy wrapping, just bubble wrap. I wouldn't use a fancy case anyway. I immediately screwed in my 510 to EgO adapter that I bought from my local B&M for $3.50. As cheap as the adapter was Provape should have included one with the Provari. I inserted one of the included batteries and screwed on a Kanger Evod and started to vape. I don't know how a battery holder can make such a difference but it does. I get the same type of hit every single time. Each hit is so consistent, my juices don't taste any different but each time I push the button it is the same. I then filled the Protank II. It was perfect. I owned a Protank I and sold it because I couldn't stand the metal taste. But the II doesn't have that taste to me. I realize that $200 is a lot of money for most newbies and younger people but if you can afford it "go for it". You will not be disappointed. It really is something that you have to experience to believe. I can't put it down. It is smaller than I expected which is nice. I was expecting a flashlight size device.

I have been using an I-Taste 3.3 for about two months. It was a great choice. The pass-thru capability is awesome. But now I think i will enjoy having two batteries on rotation. The batteries only took about 45 minutes to fully charge, that was nice. I'am spoiled and will probably order the mini just to have a backup for my main PV. Life is good. Oh yeah can't forget "Roll Tide".

ConGrats And Enjoy :)

For 3 1/2 years I was oblivious to all the hubbub over the different mods. I'd tried a few, wasn't that impressed, and happily went back to my eGo passthroughs. Then I got a chance to test drive the Provari mini for an hour and finally understood what the term "mod envy" was all about.

OP your wife is a peach, hang onto her. ;)

No way my SS will allow me a Provari,
P

why not? a never smoker who doesn't think it's important enough? It's hard to GET it when you've never smoked,,,,,

My husband probably would never think a 179.00 mod was worth it either

what I do is say "I want a Provari,,,,,I think it's worth the price,,,I am willing to give up (Insert luxury item here) to get one. What do you think???"

I wish there was some way I could get my hands on it to try it a little. If I could do that I would probably like it. Do they have a return policy if you are not happy with it?

From what I been seeing on eBay they have a really good re-sale value. Some sale for more then they cost :?:

Welcome to the club? But I wonder why Provape should include free adapters? I dont know of any other mods that do this. Not everyone uses that delivery system so forcing everyone to pay for an adapter dose not seem like the right thing to do for me.

Maybe list it as an option when you order one. If I hadn't talked to my local B&M owner I would have never thought about getting one. I would have been pretty mad if I couldn't have tried all my tanks the moment I received it. They only cost $3.50 retail. I would have thrown one on my original order for at least $10.00. Since they were cheap I did buy two. No worries it has been a great weekend. Thanks for all the replies everyone.

Can't beat quality.

Silly hu? You always have people who think their stuff is worth more than what it is. You see a used car in ok shape selling for blue book but the owner did not understand blue book is mint.

My guess is the used Provari is coming as a "package deal" with batteries, extension cap, and possibly some juice attachments...to justify that cost.

China actually can make a quality product. Even all the Provari owners have to admit the chip is made in China.

EddardininWinter said:
The processor is the only import in the entire device.

The processor in the Provari is a US-made circuit board with a mix of electrical components that are either US-made or from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, China.

I read that as a processor that is primarily American made.

"Our combined background and experiences play a big part in producing high quality, long life products. A great example is with the computer inside the ProVari. It was designed using military design rules; so it’s going to last and hold up to everyday abuse. A lot of work went into it to make it reliable, but even more went into it to make it safe."

"One of the core features of the ProVari product line is the consistent production of vapor. We use specialized power boosting circuitry to keep the voltage constant throughout the life of the battery. This feature is hugely important. With this technology, the vaping experience doesn’t diminish as the battery drains. A user gets the same quality and amount of vapor throughout the entire day."

"I think it comes down to the quality and functionality. We don’t cut corners when it comes to quality. We continuously strive to build the best, safest and highest quality e-cigarettes money can buy. We believe in our products. Everyone who works for ProVape believes in what we do. As more and more people get frustrated with all the cheap Chinese devices on the market (which most are), when they get a hold of a ProVari it’s such an exciting and different experience. People around the world appreciate quality and after a while realize that with all the money they spent on cheap stuff they could have just purchased a higher quality ProVari in the first place and saved all the hassle and trouble."

Please don't hate me, don't ban me, and please no public hanging. I vape with the Innokin MVP-2. Yes that thing some say is not a mod, and it's certainly 100% made in China. Yes it's VV/VW with a pass through usb charger, and the thing can actually charge a smartphone. I have no use for those features, but China actually can make a quality product. Even all the Provari owners have to admit the chip is made in China.

One day, but not this day I will be a proud owner of an American made mod. I've spent a whopping $39.99 for the MVP from a US vendor. I use Kanger ProTanks, and mini ProTanks all of which are made in China, but I've never purchased a clone or knockoff of any product and only purchase from US Vendors.

I love American made products and I will own a Provari so in the mean time don't hate me. I don't hate you.

I dont think anybody ever said China is not capable of making quality stuff. Just like American Politicians are capable of being honest public servants. They both just chose not to.

I got my first ProVari from my husband last Valentine's Day. The price was a bit hard to take (when compared to a $25 Ego Twist). But I do not regret the purchase as it just works like it is supposed to. I have since bought 2 more. I kinda of have become a collector, but I do use my ProVaris the most.

Yeah, the circuit boards are made in Illinois and the only reason they import the components are because they aren't available in the US at all.
