I suggested that nyc close it so we wouldn't keep getting random posts from people who didn't realize they shouldn't post on that sticky. That way she can open it just long enough to post the new updates and then close it again. It has been a closed sticky for many weeks, so it's nothing new. As starsong pointed out, it was meant to be informational only.

Thanks, good to know... lol guess I should read the rest of the thread before comment:blush:

It is a relief to see you back here. Not sure I love being compared to a pile of dirty dishes. :?:
Do you discuss on the phone with your partners/employers what's going on here? Your absence has been accounted for, but as Keyzy said, what about the others? Does everyone realize the impact of completely ignoring us for a week?

Yes, but honestly that didn't come up. I was very surprised NYC hasn't been around either, I know she was e-mailing me to get back here. Again all I can do is apolagize, and assure you I am going to be talking to everyone about preventing a situation like this in the future. Starting with the fact Mike, our managing partner, has promised me a MacBook, and in fact scolded me for not asking for help getting a reliable computer sooner. My fault, I was just being too stubborn and trying to handle it on my own.

I find it amazing that a company would not supply a decent PC for someone who works for them to use. Really makes me wonder about who really owns Bloog? Any insite from anyone? Maybe I should buy in and help clean up the terrible CS.

Again, that was my fault. When I started the contract I just didn't feel like I was in a position to ask for that, and since then I've just been too proud and stubborn to admit my own resources weren't up to the task.

Leaford, welcome back! You can buy authentic apple products in the mall down by Tianimun (sp!) square. Please start a new thread to respond to issues so there's a single thread to follow. Thanks!

Even if I was anywhere near Beijing, I am NOT walking through Tienamin square with shopping bags! I saw what happened to the last guy to do that!

Thank goodness you are back... even if you can't solve all the problems in the world, just having someone here eases a lot of the tension & worry. Sucked being abandoned. I know of at least 3 people who just gave up and went to V4L in the past couple days, and there were probably more who didn't bother to post about it. And it was mainly due to lack of communication.

Welcome back! Wow! You sure had one of those when it rains it pours couple of weeks! I sure hope it's all uphill from here for you now.

I was hoping it would, but my spanking new computer already got a Blue Screen of Death error!! (I was going to post a pic of the BSOD, but can't seem to get it to upload, probably the cheap OS's fault)About a couple hours into reading through the forums Saturday night the damn thing just crashed and all I could get when I tried to reboot it was the BSOD. I spent all day Sunday uninstalling the Windows 7 copy I installed and reinstalling the XP clone it came with. SO far no more blue screens, so I'm hoping I just had a bad copy, and will pay the money to DL an authentic copy next time. That's pretty typical for me and computers, actually. I just have more of them right now, so more of them to fail. ;) I've always had horrible, horrible experiences with my computers crashing well before you would expect. That's why I joke about having bad computer karma.

For some reason I just assumed you were near Beijing until I looked at your profile. I was over there a bunch and only got scratched by the tanks in Tiananmen Square, you just have to be quick and pivot to get out of the way. The tanks don't have that good of a turning radius so you have time to flee. :) The Forbidden City (next to it) is definitely worth seeing, and the Badaling section of the Great Wall, etc. Then you can get a MacBook Pro on the way back. ;)
