I really don't care for the Patriot,are the magma for that matter,any suggestions on something thats sub ohm friendly,not into dripping..I think it was the magma that had the deep wells it was not too bad however it did not even come with a drip tip I had to use the one from the Patriot.

Well if I'm going to be up at 5 o'clock in the morning may as well make it productive..magma build 1.2 ohms 28K 10 or so wraps,4volts 13.4 watts.Kinda bad when you don't have the proper drip tip but it vapes quite well.Did not take long,either a wicking issue are coils either being too close to the vent holes,are not up off them enough.The coils were fine I just think it might be the placement of them!

The coils look nice and tidy, wick may be a little excessive but hard to say from a picture. The coils should be directly in front of the air holes. Sometimes to much wick (length, not diameter) can block up the air flow.

When you say in front i am assuming you mean directly over the holes. "coils" ? did that just not real sure how far above the coils should be above holes.I do you think I was a little excessive with the wick length.

I place my coils directly in front of my air holes. With an RDA with a deep drip well, all you really need is enough wick to reach the bottom

The air from the hole should go directly on to the coil. This becomes more important the lower you build your resistance

Ok definitely a wicking issue then.

I use more wick on my nimbus because there is no drip well to speak of, so what's in my wick is all the juice I have. Juice does end up waisted some that way, trapped in the wick. Straight runs of less cotton wicks better

I went ahead and re wicked,made sure coils were okay however I had to change devices now I am below 1ohm..anyways you were correct I had way too much wick.22 watts a little much for me but tastes great with very short hits.

Never leave home without it the heavy one "brick"..trying to hurry back to the magma,the build honestly is better tasting than the one I have on the kayfun now!

A Magma build will be better tasting then a Kayfun. As far coil placement, I like mine about 2mm over the air holes. Centered over them. On the wick, it really doesn't matter in the magma. It has zero affect on air flow. It will wick faster though if you just have some tucked in the bottom as aposed to packing a wad in the juice well.

Keeferes,I was a little bit shocked between the differences in taste.I will be purchasing some drip tips soon I did take the one off the kayfun and put it on the magma,giving kayfun a little cleaning let it dry for a day or so.
