This vaping lark is just soooo crazy

I actually gave up smoking in April, not because I wanted to, but because of all the usual health concerns etc.

I missed smoking, I had been a smoker for 25 years.
I put on 35lbs despite "trying" to diet

2 days ago I heard the word e-cigarette on the radio, one quick google search and here I am

(mistakenly) bought a small cigarette lookalikey (401 I think) from a Chinese medicine shop, Ordered a 510 off the net, and found a 510 in my local tobacco shop the same day.

Im amazed these things arent everywhere, its a blast

My co workers think im nuts cause i keep blowing "smoke Rings" when i get board. Am loving all the Vapor and freaking everyone out bt vaping in non-smoking areas. Its also a great way to get people to ask me about E-cigs.

I am experiencing the same feeling. I too recently stopped and just miss the action of smoking. Smoking represented a break, a pause in an otherwise hectic schedule. I also loved sitting back (or standing as indoor smoking is done) and enjoying a smoke. I look at my two sons and realize I want to be around longer and stopped. Vaping fills the void and now I only have to figure which e-cig/ juice, battery, supplier, flavor, pipe, etc. Confusion has set in and I am scared of the dollars I could spend and don't have........

That's so funny you said that!
When I first got my e-cig I wasn't sure how to use it. So I used the mirror to monitor my vapes.
We have a huge mirror on our mantle and I still find myself looking at my vapes!
My second day vaping my wife went to bed early. The next day she asked what was on TV and I told her I wasn't sure because I was looking in the MIRROR for most of the evening!

Congrats! Glad to see you here, edjumacatin' yourself on the wonderful world of personal vapes.

It's pretty rare to see vapes in stores (here in the US at least) other than the SmokingEverywhere kiosks in malls. Apparently some 7-11 stores in California have disposables and some other places may.

The reason it's not so prevalent (again, particularly the US) is because the government makes money hand over fist taxing tobacco, and the pharmaceutical companies also rake it in selling anti-smoking drugs of dubious effectiveness. The FDA recently lost a court case which would allow them to ban e-cigarettes, keeping the door open for us who enjoy the practice, need the nicotine but don't want to kill ourselves and sicken others with the tar and smoke.

Only because I wasn't sure if my LED was working, I promise!! LOL that's funny. I've learned so much here that now I know I can push the button and see the LED...don't need the mirror anymore. Pretty soon you'll be an experienced vapor and can give up the mirror, too.

It's been a long time since something has made me this happy! I was pretty down on myself for years because I couldn't quit smoking.
