Don't be so hard on yourself! You'll just smoke more! You just haven't found your sweet spot on vaping yet...once you do you will wonder why you wanted those nasty tasting nasty smelling other things...at this point, I really have no desire to even try a reg cig ever again, not when I can have yummies like banana nut bread calorie & stink free!

Thanks Meems. I have a bunch of new flavors coming. I could breathe so much better after just those few days of being smoke free. Now my lungs and bronchial tubes are tight again. Even while I was smoking the analogs, I missed the vaping. I need to remember that if and/or when I'm tempted to have another analog.

I'd imagine after 4 days of not smoking, those cigarettes really tasted like crap. That might help in the future.

Don't beat yourself up over it. No one is making you quit. I made the mistake of leaving the house without a spare batt and smoked a few myself. It does get better; just make sure you have your PV handy when the urge strikes and pick it up instead. They don't call it a habit for nothing. You just have to learn new habits.

Rar, be nice to yourself and remember all the analogs you avoided...your sucesses. Converting to vaping is different for everyone some folks seem to be able to do it incredibly fast and for others it takes longer. For me I began to forget to smoke as I enjoyed vaping much more than smoking.

BTW although I currently vape at 6mg I always have higher mg available and grab the high mg juice if I get really stressed.

Don't be so hard on yourself. So you slipped, IT's OKAY!!!! Some of us did that at the beginning. Just keep trying. Your body will transform to the e-cigarette vaping. What mg of ncotine are you taking in???? Try starting with 24mg and do that for a while. Sometimes the nicotine is not strong enough for you. Click on my signature, they have awesome jooses. Haven't tried one that I haven't liked yet. They are awesome people too, with super customer service. Kickbassvapor. Once you order, you will get it in 3 days from shipping. PM zbassvapor for an order. The website is not ready yet, but you can see all the jooses they have to offer. I hope this helps you. I am sure that there are alot of other vendors that you can go with, but I 100% support KBV

Also, when I started vaping, I slipped for the first 2 days, maybe a couple of cigarettes. But after that it got easier and now you can't get me to smoke another cigarette, EVER!!!!!! I love vaping more than I do smoking. I won't go back. And you will get to that point too. Be good to yourself. Give yourself a pat on the shoulder, everyday that you don't have a cigarette. Yeah you are trading one habit for another, but in the long run, you are saving your health and saving money too. IT WILL GET BETTER & EASIER as time goes on

After 4 days of being smoke free, I caved and smoked many cigarettes. I'm so disappointed in myself and especially hate resetting my counter. :( I hope this gets better.

Yes those are nice to have if you want to keep track juicejunky :) Good advice :) I made my own sig. I use to have one like yours, but now I don't feel the need to have one. :)

Get a new sig and you'll never have to reset. See mine below. Days vaping, not days since last cigarette. It lets you account for the money you spend on equipment and juice as well.

Seriously, you'll get there. Don't fret and keep on vaping.:vapor::vapor::vapor:

Take it easy. I smoked off and on for the first two weeks after I started vaping. It got to the point where the analogues tasted nasty and I just couldn't do it anymore. It will come. Like others have said, don't stress yourself over it. You went FOUR DAYS!!! That is friggin AWESOME! My wife still smokes. I vape like a chimney. Over 6 weeks since I smoked a real ciggy. Life is good. You're on the right track. Make sure you nic levels are up there. I started and am still vaping at 18mg.

Look at it this way. Every analog you don't smoke is what counts. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that you must be entirely analog free for it to count toward your eventual goal. It's a process. If you beat yourself up, you will only feel worse.
Keep vaping, getting used to flavors and strengths, and eventually you will find the combination that does you right. At that point, it will be easier to avoid more analogs each day until you are ready to put them down. Pace yourself. Good luck!

You have gotten lots of great information, and affirmation. If quitting cigarettes wasn't so hard, well we wouldn't be here. The big tobacco companies want to keep you and they know exactly how. In the past year alone, I have quit three separate times. This being the longest for me. I still have my moments, but then I smell one and go, hell no. I know for a fact that beating yourself up doesn't work. You have to find what works for you. For me, it was simply that I would only smoke when I was driving to and from work, then eventually I took that away, and on the 1st of January, said this is my year.

It is obvious you both want to and can quit. Find your path. Enjoy the new flavors. Enjoy the way food taste. Enjoy the way breathing easier feels. Oh and I LOVE to vape when I go to the theater! I feel like such a rebel. LOL Yes, I am easily amused!

Good luck and believe in yourself! You will do it!

You didn't cave. You smoked. No biggie. I imagine you've smoked for years, and have smoked many cigarettes many times in those years.

YOu avoided many many cigaretted in four days though. And you'll avoid many more tomorrow.

Day at a time, each one you don't smoke is a triumph. Don't make the mistake the antis do, and make it an all or nothing thing.

That's one thing I HATE about most "quit smoking" propaganda. They make it into a "If you smoke one, you're just as bad as..." game. So when I smoke one, I might as well smoke 25.

I'm not playing any more. I'll vape when I can, and, perhaps, smoke if I must. BUt less, and less often. And eventually, never again.

Hang in there,

ANde

I have been on e-cig's for about a week, and going good so far. I still have the odd analog cig every now and then, but I don't beat myself up about it. I just look at it as smoking 3 or 4 analogs a day is a lot better than the 30+ i was smoking. It took my friend about 2-3 weeks before he didn't even want them anymore.

That's wonderful Adam. I agree that 3-4 cigarettes a day is MUCH better than 25-30. However, I can't smoke just 3 or 4. I have to have the whole pack. :(

Took me about three months to quit, had days when I did okay, about three, days that I did not so okay, around 6. I basically allowed myself a certain amount of smokes. As I bought better batts and supplies I would reduce that amount and then after dumping some big bucks on a couple mods and accessories I gave myself a "you spent enough money on this stuff, end the smoking for good" day. A little spending guilt goes a long way.
I basically figured out what I spent a month on cigs and for a long time after, I allowed myself to spend the same amount on e-cig stuff.
