I consumed a 1.5ml 18mg/ml pod. Is this a fatal dose of nicotine?

Within prettt much 12 hours.
1.5 ml of 18mg/ml comes out to 27mg. That's the equivalent of a couple cigarettes over a 12 hour period. Maybe you should look into the details and math of this a little before continuing vaping so you can have peace of mind.

So including the 2 hour half life rule. Much less is likely actually im my blood already right? (90% of it should have already halfed)

I never heard of the half-life rule, but that does not mean that you are wrong.

What I will add though is, you are playing with fire. Nicotine is nothing to goof around with, so be careful.

The following has nothing to do with your immediate concern, but I have limited knowledge and am very careful around my raw nicotine base at 100mg/ml. I've learned over the years that if I make a mistake it could be my last.

Per Healthline.com, the average cigarette has 10-12 mg of nicotine. As you previously smoked a five or more in a 12 hour period, or 50-60mg of nicotine, I don't understand what you are concerned about.

If this was a fatal dose of nicotine no one would sell anywhere near 18mg/ml juice as they would never be able to get liability insurance.

It’s not fatal by a long shot or half us would be dead. But do pay attention to how you feel, you’ll know when you’ve had enough. No point over doing it. Too much can feel like a headache (that will quickly pass if you drink some water) maybe a bit of drowsiness.
If you find you’re making yourself feel unwell frequently, you can go down a bit in the nic level.

Full flavor cigarettes like Marlboro Reds have 18mg of nicotine (per cigarette) actually in them, but you only absorb about 1 to 2 mg into your system for each cigarette you smoke.

it's similar with vaping e-liquid, just because it's there doesn't mean you absorb all of it into your system.

as an example I was a 2 PAD Marlboro Red smoker for 32 years. When I quit smoking and made the switch to vaping I switched vaping 2ml of 18mg e-juice a day - which is 36mg a day.

the withdrawals I went through were massive, and even vaping the switch took every ounce of willpower I had.. I even cried occasionally I was in withdrawal so bad the first couple weeks.

if I absorbed all the nicotine we use when vaping low power devices I wouldn't have come that close to failing in making the switch...

If you get nicotine sickness you'll know long before you die, and you'll stop vaping. Early signs of being nic sick include being shaky, sweating, and nauseated. Even one of those symptoms and you should lay off the nic for an hour or two, and consider lowering your nicotine levels overall if it's a recurring problem.

So learn the signs of being nicotine sick, and then listen to your body when and if it speaks. Outside of that your good.

OK... I'm just kidding. You keep posting stuff like this. It's really simple... it's called being "nic sick" (you will know) Simple answer... NO. I think you asked this before... if you puke then you will know. As others have implied, do the math (mg/ml X mg per day)... that's the best way to judge how much nic you are getting. If you are so afraid of nicotine, stop using it. In itself, it's not much worse than caffeine (it's like some people drink 10 cups of coffee a day) Yes, that's not a good thing but you will know just like with nic. It actually has some positive benefits (first it can ease anxiety but then is a stimulant... can keep you up at night but is a mental stimulant so many writers smoked... go figure) Tobacco actually has MANY other compounds in it that are more addictive and harmful... nic itself isn't that bad (do some homework) Personally, I wish you would either get over this or just stop trippin (vaping) I just made it one week tobacco free (thanks to vaping) Did this before and made it 8 months... than slipped and was a dual user. Smoke or vape and quit wining.

That reminds me, in a high school play I was the judge in "to kill a mockingbird" and he chewed on a cigar. I chewed on a cigar and after the play had to go out the back door and puke, that was definitely nik sick.:)

Pardon my cynical nature, but i read this post with almost disbelief.

An image from a favourite series of mine "Doc Martin" popped into my mind - a hysterical mother brings her daughter into the surgery with something like a scraped knee and the equally hysterical child howls, "Doctor, am I going to die?"

Doc Martin replies, "Yes certainly - but not today!"

Here's the rule of thumb: It's very difficult to seriously or permanently harm yourself by vaping nicotine in the concentrations it's usually sold for vaping. Note that if you were to drink your ejuice, it would be another story - it's quite possible to drink a lethal amount of ejuice. Also, vaping or working with high concentration nicotine (100 mg/ml and above) can also cause problems, although many of us mix ejuice with 100 mg/ml with no problems, but we do take care with it.

Inhaled nicotine takes effect within seconds. Long before you get enough to kill you, you'll get 'nic sick'. Several of the symptoms have been mentioned above, but they include:
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Dizziness
  • Sweating
  • Thirst
  • Shakiness
  • Weakness
  • Tiredness
If you get these symptoms, STOP vaping. Lie down for a bit and drink some water. You should feel better within 20 minutes. Before you start vaping again, get a lower concentration ejuice, turn down your wattage and/or vape less.

If you ignore the symptoms and keep vaping, you won't do so for long. You'll shortly be much too busy hugging the toilet as you try to turn your digestive system inside out to even think about vaping. This is your body trying to protect itself. Listen to it.

After hanging here for a few years, all I can tell you is brain damage may or may not be a thing.

Yup. Getting pretty stupid replies. Was just kind of wondering, how far I am pushing my luck hehe. Not a very experienced guy here, but sounds like it is nowhere near a problem to consume that much. :)
