Am I the only one who can love a flavor one day and then pick it up the next day and say to myself....what was i thinking yesterday...this is...yuck? And vice versa...when i get a new eliquid and try it sometimes I don't like it, but then go back to it a week later and love it. I have yet to find something other than peanut butter from mist stix and a few from nhaler that i can vape daily and not have a love/hate relationship with...

the next day im like wtf? wheres the good flavor?

eta, i suppose it might have something to do with my meds that im taking for highblood pressure and for my copd..

the copd meds are a steroid and they taste yuck, like stinky socks smell lol

or then again, it could be my 40 something tastebuds? lol:p

This was actually one of my biggest problems when i started. I have since then figured out that I need something softer and smoother in the morning. I was really enjoying RY4 while drinking and in the morning it was gross and hurt my throat. By the next night RY4 was good again. Not sure if that is the case for you but he might explain a lil bit.

Hey, don't forget... if you've only started vaping recently, your taste buds are still "coming back." I don't know how long it takes for your sense of taste and smell to fully recover, but I wonder if you're picking up new nuances of flavors that cause you to not like them so much as time goes on... as your buds are recovering...

Just a thought!

I have been sort of like that. I tried Butterscotch and loved it, now it is way too sweet....I tried Atomic Fireball and loved it but same thing, I feel like I ate too much candy. Cotton Candy is the same.... I am vaping HV Cafe Mocha Tobacco, and Green Tea lung and only use the sweet ones once and a while for a change of taste.
So for me although the sweet ones are good......I cannot vape them daily.

Are your juices all PG-based? I'm not sure what unflavored PG or VG taste like, but it seems like all my PG-based juice is stronger in flavor in general... the VG gives great vapor, though. I'd recommend getting some straight VG and adding some to your sweeter flavors if you haven't already tried it...

I had that reaction with two flavors. Spearmint and bubble gum. Both flavors are perfect. A true duplication of the original. Distictive and full of flavor. But after a while I feel like I've been chewing the same piece of bubble gum over, and over, and over. I think the key is to limit exposure. I generally keep about 10 flavors going and save the spearment and bubble gum for a once in a while vape. When I'm tired of a flavor I keep it by the computer--since I vape more there--and just use it all up. Not a good idea. Then you really get sick of it. The less sweet the flavor the longer I seem to be able to endure it. I guess you can get tired of anything after a while.

P.S. It was so much easier when I smoked and couldn't taste anything. Did I really smoke the same flavor for over two decades!

I still (bad bad girl) go out and buy a pack when i go out to the bar, and probably for new years eve, but I've been doing ok for the most part with not smoking every day anymore. My problem is that I can still go out for 6 hours and kill almost a whole pack....my philosophy has always been smoke 'em if you got 'em.

Yah, well, since it's confessional time... I still smoke 2 rollies per day... one when I get up and one when I get home from work... I can tell you for sure, though... there's no friggin' way I could smoke a pack in 6 hours now... my lungs would feel like Swiss cheese after the 3rd cig!

Oh, and be careful... you know what happens to bad girls... :D

Shake Well. Some flavors requiring more shaking than others, but that could be the cause of your varying taste satisfaction. Well, it can't hurt anyway. I too have a similar on-again/off-again love/hate relationship with flavors sometimes, but I chalk it up to just a mental thing. Like if you had to eat the same meal over and over again.

Yeah, how did we all smoke the same flavor cigs for so long? Weird.

I know exactly what you mean, Maureen. I can go a day or two just vaping. But then I will buy a pack of analogs and suck them all down in one sitting. If I have analogs - I smoke them.

Fortunately, I don't jones for them like I used to. I ran out of analogs a few nights ago. I didn't feel like going out in the snow at midnight to get some. I was fine with vaping until the next day. Before PVs, I would have braved the worst weather to get smokes (or threw a fit until my husband or kids went and got some for me). My in-laws came down from Ohio the other day and we spent all day driving around looking at the mountains. I vaped all day in their van with no problem. As soon as I got home, though, I smoked half a pack.

It would be great if I could smoke one or two a day. If only one could satisfy the craving, I'd be happy and guilt free. For me, at least, smoking is an all or nothing deal. but I'm not ready for "nothing" yet.

As to your original question - I bought tons of flavors. I had a lot of fun the first couple of days trying them all. Now there are only one or two that I like. I have the rest up on the classifieds here. Even those couple of flavors that I like - sometimes they are great, other times they are "meh"

When they don't taste right to me, so I go back to analogs. At least analogs are consistant. They taste like crap all the time. LOL Maybe we're just a bunch of really strange people?

Then quit getting them and having them handy. If you continue this way you will just spin your wheels. Remove all tobacco from your house, put your ashtrays away, and grab the e-cig when you feel that urge coming on. If you keep buying cigarettes you will NEVER quit. I smoked for 32 yrs and when I got my first kit, I gave away my tobacco and rolling equipment, threw the ashtrays out and have not looked back at all. You just have to want it and the e-cigs made it very easy for me.

I'm not sure that everyone who vapes WANTS to completely give up cigarettes. I honestly like sneaking one in now and then just because I want one and not because I MUST have one.

I had a girlfriend who could just smoke now and then, have a few cigs at the bar and then not think about them for weeks. I'm feeling like that now and it's wonderful.

I've noticed the weird flavor thing. The first few days, all I could taste was a horrible plastic chemical thing. I thought it was the pre-filled cartos. I tried filling an empty with juice and it was "OK". I tried again a few days later and everything tasted fine... good even. I got a sample Ry4 and HATED it when I first tried it. It was seriously gross... I tried again (the exact same cartomizer) yesterday and now I'm actually planning on buying a big bottle to refill with. It's super yummy. It's just crazy.

As far as analogs go, I don't really miss them a whole lot. I tried more times than I can count to quit and smoked a pack & 1/2 of Camel filters a day for the past 28 years. I used to have daily horrible headaches. Often they were so freaking bad I couldn't function. Since I started vaping instead of smoking... NOT.... ONE.... HEADACHE!!!!! Ya! Life is good!!

I have found my tastes changing a lot too. I originally LOVED the harsh tobacco flavor of "cuban cigar". It's what got me off analogs. Now, I find it tastes too much like an old ashtray. I've been mixing it with "tennessee cure" which I originally HATED and I sometimes like that blend. I often smoke pure "555" and usually like that. And for some reason I really enjoy a "menthol" blend. (I mix Marly with Smokey Tobacco and Menthol). I vape that most often, which is weird since I haven't smoked menthols since I first started smoking over 20+ years ago. But often the menthol is most satisfying-go figure. I keep ordering new sample flavors (both tobacco and non-tobacco flavors). I have not found many I like though I've tried at least 20 so far. For me I find I like mixing several flavors together. My next experiment will be tennessee cured plus rootbeer, or maybe black licorice with rootbeer and menthol?!
