It seems when I buy a new ecig I get excited and the taste isnt too bad but after a few days I seem to not like the taste and texture of vapor anymore.

When I smoke a cigarette, the texture of the smoke and taste is a lot nicer.

Vapor has a strange airy taste to it, completely different to smoke.

What Can I do?

I use cigalikes, and this problem is even worse with bigger devices for me.

I know what you mean about the taste/feeling of the flavours on your tongue, sometimes it just tastes bitter to me after a while especially with fruit flavours. The best way I've found to deal with it is by just having a drink with you at all times, it's not so bad for me because I only really care for the throat hit. I'm sure there'll probably be a few responses here about different juice mixtures (PG/VG %s) but I don't know enough about it to advise

At 4 months, I am surprised by your opinion. I felt the same for about two weeks, but stuck with it. By two months, I could never look back. You need to find your correct temperature, vapor amount, and flavor. Nothing compares to really GOOD vapor, once your respiratory system has adapted. Keep trying my friend. You are in the expensive part of the learning curve, to find what suits you best. Don't give up. Dripping an 18xxx mod at your point in evolution is what did it for me. True flavor and sufficient, but not excessive, vapor.

Hi - both pg and vg have an oily texture, but vg a bit more so. If you're using pre-filled cartridges, it might not be possible to change the ratio, depending on what the vendor sells. If you are filling you're own, try lowering the vg level. If you have a cig-a-like, but aren't yet filling you're own toppers, Vision Nanos and CE3 XL clearos look nice on the little batteries and you can add you own juice.

Some of it in in how you vape as well. Inhaling directly on an e-cig like a cigarette can be rather harsh and even offputting at first.Try inhaling slowly and holding the vapor in your mouth for 5 seconds or so before inhaling into the lungs OR exhaling. The lung hit is totally a matter of personal preference.

You'll find it to be a lot smoother this way.

Everyone is different. I've never cared much about getting big clouds of vapor. I'm probably one of the few people who still use 100% PG. For me i need the flavor, a bit of throat hit, and a fairly warm vape with a moderately tight draw. I do switch flavors frequently through the day.

IMO, but many of the set ups are geared towards the biggest vapor cloud possible and for my tastes that results in an airy draw, with less flavor. If you stay with cig-alikes (some of them are quite decent), you might try switching flavors more frequently (as has been suggested). If you look at the larger battery set ups, ask about the draw and whether the set up mutes flavor in favor of vapor.

Excessive vapor =good!:vapor:
seriously though my mind thinks this way heavy vapor means it working but I mouth inhale then take in my lungs what I want a little exhale through mouth and nose for nic contact, remember vape doesn't have added chemicals for fast nic absorption. Experiment with it and don't give up your quality of life may depend on it.

There are lots of things that can be effect flavor as listed here. PG/VG possibly its the delivery system. Maybe it's your particular brand vaping is unlike smoking because so many things effect it and it's all mostly subjective. For me V4Ls juices and devices worked best for me when I was still on analogs and began to switch to vaping instead, but other venders sent me screaming back to cigs like my life depended on it. I do have one pondering though.

Are you trying to do no cigarettes when you try vaping? I did this at first too and the difference between vape and smoke got me back to smoking in no time. I mixed both until slowly I just did not want the cigs anymore. For some of us it works that way. Heck there are still people who vape for years and still have the one morning stinky.

The most important thing is don't feel like you are doing something wrong if you can't make the miracle switch. For some of us it can take some time. You'll be fine keep at it.

I've found the closest to smoking is just using unflavored nic juice. I find that when I vape flavors, and I still do, I'll find myself over-analyzing if the flavor is right or good or changing. When I vape unflavored I vape more like I smoked, I just draw and exhale without really thinking about it. I don't know if I'll ever exclusively vape unflavored, but I find it more relaxing sometimes.
