So I got an Indulgence, and since there was a deal, picked up a few 808 cartos. I've been a 510 user, and really like 510 cartos. There were a few V4L cartos sitting around in my stash, so I decided to try them out along with the blank 808's that I picked up.

Sometimes I get great vapor, th, and flavor...other times I feel like I'm getting nothing. Tried different juices in each of the 4 blanks, and tried 3 different V4L's in my possession. I just don't seem to get the consistency that I get from a 510 atty or 510 carto. I did notice that the 2nd fill of the cartos rendered 2 of the blanks useless. I get heat and flavor, but little th or vapor. The V4L's have stayed somewhat consistent, although they've been sitting for a couple weeks, so I think they're probably getting to the end of their pre-filled lives.

I've never had problems w/ 510 cartos, and I've dealt with the filling and such of the 808's exactly the same way. Are there any others that feel the way I do, or again, is it just coming down to a preference/user issue?

Just curious, are your 510 cartos hard or soft cap?

Like 808 cartos the 510's come in the hard cap and soft cap versions. It seems the soft caps perform better, especially those w/ a higher Ohm rating. I'm really liking Vapor Nine's 'Turbo cartomizers' for the 808. Night and day difference between them and the standard 808 cartos.

The 510's cartos I have are soft cap.

I just popped open a V4L carto that seemed pretty dry. Put about 5 drops on, and it looked moist, but definitely not overfilled. Took 1 puff and got a mouthful of juice.

At least it gave me a solid buzz! :)

I think I'm just not getting something w/ the 808 cartos. Prolly sticking to 510 from here on out.

I'd bet there's inconsistency among cartos no matter the model since they're mass produced. I can't imagine they're constructed differently inside than the 808's but they may be... If you have 510 batts then it does probably make more sense to use them.

I go both ways (pun intended) since I have the Indulgence. I think I might just be a 510 guy.

I agree with you Basil. I never got all the hype about the KR808 cartos. I didn't get along with them either.

I gave up on them. I never could get anything but wimpy vapor out of them even on a mod. I traded/Sold/gave away all of them. I guess people who start out KR808 don't know what they're missing when compared to a 510 or other model?

Recently I gave the 510 blank cartos a try (hard top that doesn't open) and they're great! REALLY great. I do worry about the interior burning isses though... how would you know!? I try to refill it a few times during the day.

I still use my 302 penstyle atty or 510 most of the day, but hit the 510 carto and get just as good vapor and throat hit out of it (and find it pretty convenient!). I'm sure I'll buy more of them soon. I can see using these exclusively for traveling out of the house.

I wish someone would make a good penstyle (size and fitted) carto!!!

The DEVO hat gives it away. hehee

Well, to be clear. I do NOT go both ways. My girlfriend can vouch.

But, I think part of my problem HAS been learning curve. The other part has been the quality of the blank 808's I got. I refilled some of the V4L cartos I had and I have to say they are a MUCH better experience than they were even pre-filled.

Whenever you fill a carto, especially from the mouth end like that, you need to either Taryn spin it, or else at least give it a couple "thermometer" whips, or there is a good chance you'll end up with juice in the mouth.

I'm very new to the 808 cartos, just got my first five about six days ago. The first thing I did was try to pry the little white cap off so I could fill them. Yeh right. Eventually ripped through the hole destroying the cap. Found out these were the hard cap and you need to dip them into boiling water first. Dude didn't mention that in his video.

Other than that these 808's perform really well with the XL 808 battery I bought initially to use with my 901 attys.

I now use a syringe to fill right through the hole in the white cap and shake the juice down like a thermometer and inject a bit more. I can get 0.75ml in a cart and it lasts most of my 12 hr shift at the hospital as does the XL battery.

I'm always running into private places on the unit and puffing on it, all day long so it is getting alot of use. The vapor, throat hit, taste is better than my 901 with a standard battery and they last much longer.

I have never tried the 510 cartos. The only 510's I have tried were the Q510 disposable type. These attys from this work really well on my home made 3.7 volt copper pipe mods I have. But with the battery they come with they are "just ok".

Oh yeh, I bought my XL battery and my cartos from Litecig-usa. The cartos are supposedly premium
