For long term storage I store the tanks upright but the ones I bring with me in a fanny pack are laying on the side. I have had one tank fill the A/F when it was sitting unused for a while but that was a surprise when I got e-liquid all over my hands. Take a small block of wood and drill some holes and you have an install tank holder. I started out with a 3 hole and before the finish was dry I needed bigger so made a 5 hole and before I new I need a bigger one so I made this.

Before that was dry I ran out of space again
Can't lie that setup looks amazing very nicely done good sir !

Your interest made me go take a picture of the smaller simple ones I use on my desk for the daily drivers, sorry the picture is so dark I am sitting in the backyard on the patio and eyes didn't adjust!

@QcVaper - If you'll PM me your name and mailing address...I'll put several 18650 battery wraps in a regular letter envelope and send them to you for free. I have enough to share some. :)

You'll have some then, if/when you ever want to try rewrapping. It's your choice. Doesn't matter to me, but you'll have them either way.

No problem at all...happy to be able to help. You're very welcome! :)
I just checked my stash, and I'll send along a few of the stick-on insulator rings for the tops, too.

In a pinch, I've used a piece of black electrical tape to cover a nick in the wrapper.

As to keeping a tank upright: pop it into a shot glass, even if tilted, it will keep it upright enough to keep from any possible leaking.

I've not had any breakdown of liquids in a tank. Even sitting for a few weeks.

Love wouldn't even describe the feeling i have at the moment. I absolutely ADORE you guys, also can't lie part of the reason i've had such an easy time making the switch was due in part to the community friendly people and staff lots and lots of joking around pationnate people trying to help others out etc. Honestly if i could hug y'all i would :p

I've been thinking of using my nautilus again for my morning vapes (mostly because it's easier for me since i have a very sore throat in the morning), thing is i have 2 sub 0hm tanks and my nautilus so total of 3 clearo but only 2 mods.... My question is : is it dangerous to just store one of my tanks sideways or should i try and prompt it up on something so it stays straight ?
Qc

I used a piece of 2x4 and drilled some 7/8" holes about halfway deep. Not pretty, but it works. In the Miscellaneous subforum there are pics of large woodworking projects that hold like 485,708,214 tubemods, atties and vaping what nots. Some take this hobby seriously! ;)

The thing is when you keep tank laying around for several days the VG exposes in the air so you basically ruin the juice, other then that its alright.
In your case, - leaving tank laying around without mod sideways for night and using it at mornings is totally fine.

This is something of an urban myth. Someone somewhere learned that VG is a "humectant," which means it's water retaining or water preserving on the skin or in hair. Then, someone somewhere else translated "humectant" to mean that's it's a water attractant. Then the internet connected the someones together, and they concluded that since VG is a "humectant" your e-liquid will get ruint if it's exposed to humid air for too long. No one knew exactly how long was too long, so they all figgered it's best just to keep it all closed up.

As for battery wrap damage, if the wrap is not torn or abraded deeply enough to expose the metal skin beneath, a small piece of electrical or clear packing tape over the wound will do. Just keep an eye on it and treat it with care.

What a varied thread y'all got going here. ;)
