I have no idea how to re wrap and have no way of getting materials for this (basically i'm poor)

pretty sure it's a bad idea to use it though but i've got no idea which manufacturer this one is from. I know my brown one is an lg (it was written on the box)
While I applaud your determination to stay safe, I wouldn't worry about that one too much. I would use a battery with a wrap like that, in other words. If the wrap had an actual hole in it, so you could see the metal of the can through it, then I would begin to worry. Even then, it is more a problem with mechanical mods than regulated ones. Most regulated mods have a plastic battery sled, which won't let the battery ground out, and the batteries are in constant contact anyway; the electronics control the mod firing. In a tube mech, however, most are "low side switched," meaning the battery positive contact is continuous to the 510 center pin, while the switching is done via a pushbutton on the base of the mod, making contact with the battery negative terminal. A torn wrap in that situation is dangerous because it "bypasses" the switch, allowing the battery to contact the metal tube and closing the circuit resulting in a "constant on" or "autofire" condition. That is very bad news. This is much less likely in a regulated mod. They generally won't fire unless the button is pressed and sometimes not then. I still replace the wraps when they get worn through because you don't want to short circuit the battery to itself. Still, I do not see anything in the photo that would give me nightmares. I have authentic Sonys and LGs with that much wrinkle in the factory wrap.

Finally, IMRbatteries.com sells wraps for one dollar for ten pieces, and in assorted colors (among many other places for more and maybe less money). It takes nothing more than a hair dryer and a pocket knife to replace them (being careful not to lose the cell positive contact insulator.) It's not uncommon for me to re-wrap even new cells because I color code "married" sets, so i usually buy mine 100 wraps at a time. Fat Daddy Vapes had a deal last time I looked for 20 pcs each of 5 colors for 7 or 8 bucks.

Stay safe out there :)

I kinda realised afterwards my mod was made of metal pretty much so i feel safer (in case it would want to blow up) metal could at least give me time so my appartment dosen't burn down xD but i've used the electric tape idea that was suggested and started using said battery about 10 mins ago it's a snug fit with the tape but works. For the wraps i've had someone kindhearted enough to send me a bunch of stuff to repair and replace battery wraps so no more issue there :p

Thank you for the help though ! will definetely check out the site for new batteries ! (hope they ship to canada :p)

They do ship but it is by Fedex so shipping and brokerage will be expensive.

I do have a couple of vape shops in QC that I have bought from that seem to only carry authentics.

U can buy atomizer stand, or look around for styrofoam and stick your clearo there up straight in it..
Issue was fixed i'm using a clear plastic piece to hold it semi straight

Yeah bought mine in local vape shops haven't had any issues with both of em (my new one is an lg that i know, just don't know what the green is but the cleck at my shop said they're probably samsung) i don't have dual batteries mod atm so i don't think i'll need more than 2 for a while but at least now i know it's not so bad and dings are "normal"

I re-wrap mine when they get too worn. I wouldn't even consider re-wrapping that one yet. It's just fine :)

I've not had any breakdown of liquids in a tank. Even sitting for a few weeks.

I have vaped juice that was sitting in a tank for at least a year without issue. It was well steeped and very good :thumb:

Don't know if they have dollar stores in Canada but I found a cheapo acrylic lipstick stand in the cosmetic section that fits 22mm tanks great for a stand. Couldn't say no to $1. I've also used the shot glass trick. Maybe someday I'll get fancy enough to make a stand from a nice piece of wood. Need a new drill first.

@QcVaper - If you'll PM me your name and mailing address...I'll put several 18650 battery wraps in a regular letter envelope and send them to you for free. I have enough to share some. :)

You'll have some then, if/when you ever want to try rewrapping. It's your choice. Doesn't matter to me, but you'll have them either way.
 I was going to offer the same thing. I have 100 wraps and in 10 months I've used 2. 100 insulator rings and I haven't used any. I think that 100 is going to last me a long time.

Qc, I was very apprehensive about wrapping my first battery too. Started a thread about it and everything, asking for tips and tricks. Watched a few YouTube videos. When I finally did it, it was easier than expected. All it took was my blow dryer and a couple minutes. Knowledge helps disperse fear.

The coil does become gunked up faster when sitting in juice for a few months though. [emoji3]
