I canceled my order via chat. everything looked great, I got a cancellation email and everything! so here I am thinking I have 60 extra dollars in my bank account. So I order a 510 after reading good reviews. then i get an email saying the blu shipped... I look at my bank balance and guess what, they took the 60 dollars.. so now im overdrafted and i called blu and they can't do anything about it until i send it back to them. I'm very very angry about this whole situation.. i can't believe that they would cancel my order if my order has already shipped. but oh well i guess im screwed and get to pay $30 for the overdraft fee!!! yippee for me!

If you take copies of the emails to your bank, along with invoices, and show them what happened - I've never had a situation where they would not refund me the overdraft fee and charge it back to the vendor.

Do this right away before you ship your stuff back to Blu and ask the Bank how they want you to proceed with the return, etc. They will cover your back if they are a decent bank at all and you have dated materials.

Take care,
- Hap

well i just got back from my bank. i deposited enough money to cover the blu and the 510 and they said i shouldn't have any fees.. so i think im all set. but im for sure returning the blu. i would have considered keeping it if they just told me i was too late to cancel it but now it's goin back for sure!! they said it shipped at 10:07 and i canceled at 10:57. somehow the chat person that canceled it didn't see that it shipped i suppose. but the person that i called knew exactly when it shipped.. sort of sketchy

Good choice on canceling the blu. I am new at this, but the blu is a very frustrating device and their advertising is completely false. I can only hit mine once and then it turns off for at least 10 mins then each cartridge has less than 20 hits but if you pull the wadding out it still has juice. It is nothing like a real cig and you hardly get any vapor. I wish i could get my $60 back

Yes, that is an illegal act by the payee, get your papers and go to the bank.
They will work with you, void the overdraft and the transaction will be reversed. I would get that darned thing in the mail ASAP (your nickel, I'm afraid) but do put a delivery confirmation/signature on it. You must have proof you have sent it back, also.
This kind of stuff makes me crazy!! It's so wrong: like buying something for THE SHIPPING ONLY: NEVER DO THAT, they will bill you for The FULL purchase price after a very short, sometimes un-verifiable time, and it will take months to recover your money.
THIS IS ILLEGAL, and the people who do it know it is. You cannot imply consent to purchase after it has already been mailed to you. THIS IS A SCAM USED BY MANY MANY companies, from Insurance, to magazines, the latest Wrinkle Removers, Toothpaste, to what ever!! And it's also practiced on an International basis. It's dispicable; companies that do it have a product that is either inferior, misleading, misrepresented, or outright fraudulent.
If you want to "try" a product, write and ask for a "sample", at a nominal Paid In Full cost. If they refuse, do NOT deal with that company.

thanks for all the information it is very helpful. I got it all setlled, now i just need to send it back to blu whenever i get... I wish they didn't have my debit card info though. i don't trust them now.
Carey, if it was a debit card transaction, did you call the bank and have it reversed? You would have to check to see what their policy is, but you should be able to put that money back right away, that was definitely an unauthorized transaction. And watch your statements like a hawk!! Don't let anybody mess with your money.
Good luck! And by the way, WELCOME to ECF

I had the same experience with the Blu, as far as being useless as a device. I was very disappointed and then read on these forums where someone had returned theirs. So I immediately returned it and read more, deciding on the 510 manual which is working out great for me. (I can only smoke on breaks at work, and don't have time to wait between puffs like the Blu requires.) I thought the flavors were good though.

That's because the USPS tracking system sucks. Or it's the people who are using it. Not sure which. One of the two, or maybe both, who knows. This is not a problem with Blu.

Unfortunately that is usually all the USPS tracking system ever says until it arrives at the sorting facility. Then it is usually scanned at that point. This is also generally the day of delivery. Who knows how much money our government spent on this wonderful tracking system.
