Hey,

So I've been reading these forums for a while now but this is my first post. I smoked for 5 years, since I was 15 and fairly recently started vaping, when I realised I could no longer afford cigarettes (I'm a student). The day my ecig arrived I stopped smoking. For 63 days I didn't touch a cigarette, and I was quite proud of myself for going from 20 a day to zero!

Anyway, my last cartomizer died on me this morning and I forgot to order more, so I now have to wait at least 2 days until I can vape again. Cravings got the better of me and I've just smoked my first cigarette since I started vaping. I can't believe how bad it is!

It tastes disgusting and I feel terrible for smoking again. I might even have a shower just to get rid of the smell!

So, for anyone new to vaping, it may be worth buying just a few extra cartomizers or an extra bottle of juice, just incase you fall short. Its not a good position to be in!

I smoked for 25 years. After starting vaping I cut my 1.5PPD habit to 5cigs, then 2 cigs, then 1 per day. It's hard. I carried my last partial pack with me for a week, until I said I had the habit kicked.

You will never be without supplies after this lesson. Don't beat yourself up about it tho. BTW If you were local, I'd hook ya up with a coupla cartos just because these next 2 days will probably be miserable. Alas, you're across the pond lol.

Maybe someone local to you can help. Good luck!

Grats and sorry!

If you check the 7-11's and Riteaids around you they may sell an RN4081 with charger (it won't say RN4081 but my Riteaid had what looked like one at the checkout counter and some 71-11's carry Njoy 2-n-1 aka Npro which is RN4081). if you have juice it would be something to tide you over. Just be careful since it's an auto - don't leak onto the battery.

And check VaporSeachUSA.com for local shops

As others have said, don't beat yourself up. On the contrary, congratulate yourself for having turned such a huge leaf in your life. At 20 years old, going from enjoying cigs to finding them disgusting is HUGE! You've been converted. Just stay away from them so they don't become enjoyable again. Thanks for posting.

Don't feel too bad, that has happened to many of us.

The POSITIVE thing is you feel BAD about it! ;)

I had my last analogue on a Sunday afternoon (5-months ago) when I was visiting my sister and my battery died. I thought what the heck?

It tasted HORRIBLE and I immediately regretted it.

From that point on I have ALWAYS carried two batteries so nothing like that happens again.

Always be supplied with ALL the tools of vaping, is my motto!

And one other thing - make sure you have spare parts for any ecig you depend on including a spare battery and spare charger. And I'm sure you'll try keep a larger supply of cartos as well as juice. Another thing I do is keep a small bag of used cartos that aren't totally shot - I get good use out of mine of 7-10 days so they are degraded when I switch to a new one BUT if I was ever desperate for a carto I could refill them and they would work.

Makes me think how fragile some of us ex-smokers are. As soon as our devices are taken away from us in one way or the other, we go back to analogs. I've successfully quit smoking and have been free of analogs for about a month now. Vaping definitely showed no signs of side effects for me. It is safe as can be, but it no longer gives me the same kind of pleasure as when I was starting. It makes my mouth too dry and drinking lots of water doesn't seem to help. In short, I no longer enjoy it. Would I go back to analogs if I quit vaping? And that I'll have to find out for myself.

Just remember one less puff is one less better, i ran out of supplies in the beginning as well, now i keep stocked up pretty good. I felt bad too, especially when you feel so good going all those days without smoking, and then have one and have to start over. The fact is that we are addicted to nicotine, our bodies crave it, and we will do whatever we need to get it. Just remember to throw them out as soon as your supplies arrive.

Was thinking the same thing today. 5 weeks analog free. Vaping gets the job done...just. Take it away...I really don't know. Today was the first time I really, really wanted an analog more than a vape. Still do.

I crave analogs occasionally, but not as strong as it was before. But then is it because I have a ready alternative, like my small PVs, that does the job? What if I don't have them? I'll definitely go back to analogs without them. I'm sure of it.

First off don't beat yourself up. I had the same thing happen to me with running out of juice.

You're in the UK. I'm in the States but must be something similar over there. If you're still feeling bad about it, and not wanting to taste a "stinky" look for a disposable e-cig at a shop.

Blu (don't get me started on them) sucks but the cartos they sell fit my eGo. If worse comes to worse and I have equipment failure or run out of juice it's an option other than buying analogs. Surely have to have somethign similar on the other side of the pond.
